Having booked ahead of time (recommend) based solely on TA reviews, I felt reasonably confident that this would be good. First off the building and setting has a genuine traditional appearance, and a stunning vista. Good start.Staff were very friendly, and welcoming offering up genuine good natured banter (it's a word get over it).The food was very good, in terms of taste it was spot on. Everything was tasting like a better version of the food you are used to in your life of consuming mass produced produce. Not only this but all the dishes were prepared very well. I would happily give this place 5/6 based on food alone. With all the other bits it's easily 6/6.Worth the little trip up the winding mountain road.Dear TravelHero85!Thank you very much. All the bestFamily Geisler

Because this is on a black run, it's not overrun by skiers and is therefore a very civilised place to eat. No problem getting a table and the staff are lovely. Very friendly, efficient and helpful. The food is delicious very reasonably priced. Particularly good is the traditional Austrian grostli and as for their home made puddings - unmissable! We sampled both the strudel and the cheesecake and both were truly yummy. Don't miss it.

Came here in September but know we will be back in December now that the Penkenbahn is open (wasn't when we went last December). Only have enough euros on us for something cheap, had banana milkshake and banana split. Both were fine. Staff were nice.

Ate here on our first night in Finkenberg as it was close to our accommodationAdult courses fine - pretty standard Cordon Bleu for 14 euros and a baked salmon dish for a little moreMy annoyance came when both our kids had the buffet - simple and they could choose / see what they were eating They were charged full price 19.50 euros each, for hotdogs, fries, salad and some fruit salad (they're 9 and 7 and by no means ate their fill nor an adult sized portion)I complained but to no availWon't be rushing back

This is an usual restaurant perched on the cliff face above the Zillergrund dam. There are two ways in - via the open lattice metal stairway which is clipped onto the rock face (perhaps not for the faint hearted) or via the roadway which runs up from the top of the Zillergrund dam and round to the rear of the restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is quite 'Harry Potterish', it could be straight from Diagon Alley. The staff are friendly, the service is quick, the portions ample and tasty. Well worth a visit, even if it takes an hour by bus (the 8328 service from Mayrhofen station (bahnhof)).

This place is wonderful. A little more expensive than others but well worth it. It was near Michelin star quality. If you reserve a table with a small deposit you receive a nice little appetiser. We went twice it was so good. Can highly recommend the linguine, burger and fillet steak! Nice fine wines especially if you have a few thousand euros to spare, although some very reasonably priced ones too. Canât wait to go again. Highly recommended.Thank you very much Lisa, we really appreciate your words. Best Regards from the whole Team and the Family.

On the last day of the season, so many restaurants on the pistes were closed and we were delighted to find this one not only open but also offering fabulous food. The chicken (breaded breast) came with a beautiful salad and garlic bread on the side. The goulash soup came in two sixes - normal and gigantic! A meal in itself. Waitress service completed the picture - just great!

We ate here as a family (two teenagers) and everyone loved it (I have venison ragout). The salad bar was superb, the best we came across all week. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. The place was nicely full and the atmosphere was just lovely. Well worth the wander up the town.Dear Einmear,Thanks a lot for the first time that you have taken the time to rate our Retsuarnt. We are very happy about the great review. We would be happy to welcome you back soon in our restaurant.Best regards !Hotel Ländenhof

We decided to call in after noticing a Queue the day before. It was well worth the visit, the Tyrol Grostl was amazing. We had Ribs and a very large ham roll We then had lunch here the following 4 days. It gets a bit crowded but so efficient you don't wait that long
