A colleague and I had dinner here and it was a fantastic experience. After reading some tripadvisor reviews I decided to give it a try. It is owner run and it shows in the friendly atmosphere and efficient running of the establishment. The menu was efficiently translated for us and the food was delightful. The Duo of beef looked excellent and the schnitzel of wild boar was perfect. A real gem In Hamm and worth a visit.

We were staying at the hotel and didn't want to driver anywhere (since we'd just spent 5 hours in the car). We were all pleased with the menu. The chef sent out a free appetizer they were trying out that was delicious and got us all hooked. The menu has both standard german fare as well as some more adventurous items. The wait staff was friendly and patient (we had to do some phone translations to make sure we weren't ordering liver). We had a quite outside table on a lovely fall evening. It was a great family meal and we would go again!

We stayed here for two nights during a cycling trip to see the Wasserschloss near Münster. We found out about it from the 'bett und bike' website and couldn't have picked anywhere better. Surrounded by countryside that is ideal for cycling, safe storage for the bikes, lovely ensuite room, excellent breakfast and we didn't feel the need to go anywhere else in the evenings, as the food and beer was so good. It was very busy with locals everyday but this just added to the atmosphere and it was great to have a seat outside, drinking beer, after a long day cycling. Staff were also very attentive and friendly, asking if we wanted refills when our drinks were getting low. Would definitely come here again.

This is a proper Italian restaurant with an Italian owner and the wonderful Italian attitude to customers which embraces them warmly. The service is friendly and efficient, the food arrives in good time and has always been tasty. The menu ranges from the traditional pizza and pasta dishes to fish and meat as well as vegetarian. Unlike so many, this restaurant actually caters for those little wishes like "easy on the oil" etc. and if at all possible, special requests are fulfilled.The portions are generous without being silly and the prices are very reasonable.The restaurant has ample seating inside but also offers some lovely tables outdoors. You are next to a quiet country road and only yards from the Dortmund-Ems canal. A short walk from the restaurant is the Hiltruper See which is well worth visiting as it is lovely and peaceful (apart from the ducks and geese which often oblige with a fair bit of quacking and honking.. You could go for walks or ride a bike - Münster is extremely cycle-friendly and most roads have a dedicated cycle track.My wife and I go to Münster 3-4 times a year and we always seem to spend one evening here. What is it that brings us back? Above all, the friendliness of the staff, especially the owner who manages to remember us and treats us like old friends.A reservation is highly recommended even for weekdays, especially when the weather is good as the local people tend to fill the place - always a good sign. Highly recommended.

Das Elmenhorst leigt fussläufig zum St.Josef Stift. So kann man als Patient hier schnell und gut hinkommen, lecker essen oder ein Bierchen trinken. Schöner Biergarten draussen.

Should be listed as a hotel.Simple traditional building in lovely surroundings. Located roadside but did not hear noise at night.Rooms typical of many in Europe with single beds. Room cold on arrival. Basic furnishings but clean. Not the best shower. Wifi (code free) worked well.Breakfast next morning was a very simple affair (bread, eggs, meats).

It is a very nice, modern Restaurant with a chimney in the entrance - a pity you can't really sit besides it. Flawless service helped me with the choices: pumpkin-sweet potato soup: boring served in a Late Macchiato glass which made it even harder to spoonTagliatelle with Brussel sprouts, Cranberries... very interesting and tastyAlmond cake... rather boring, the menu said spiced oranges and praline dressing... came with plain oranges, sliced and without the praline - at which point a was very disappointed and went back to my wonderful room.Considering the price it is a clear NEVER AGAIN
