We have been there several times - especially as the view is stunning, Yet the building would need one major refurbishment and renovation. The food is ok - a bit too greasy and the Spinatnocken, Ksasnocken are not the beautiful light ones but a bit to dense,

Traditional Bavarian Restaurant Located In The Heart Of The Golden Valley
The owners of this eaterie are dedicated to hunting. Most walls are covered in antlers or other hunting trophies. Just behind us sat the Golden Pheasant after whom the Gasthaus is named. Some early asparagus soup was much enjoyed, however, Mrs Mac and I found the wild garlic soup had been swamped with cream and the croutons were few and very soft. The local trout, both rainbow and brown, my choice was fried to perfection and was so fresh. A really delicate clear river taste. The fried and boiled kartoffel was average. For dessert we mistook Philidelphia tiramisu for the real thing, a massive mistake, even the sliced strawberries did not help. Noting our disappointment, the host offered us his own prune infused schnapps, wow full marks, so fruity absolutely spot on. A great end to an average meal.

The restaurant is really nice. Lot's of space and different rooms. Traditional bayrisch food in good quality.Price and scale of the meal is really ok. Very good beer from a near by brewery "Maxlrainer".So, the good is just for the restaurant!!!Kriechbaumer also have rooms. But they are not really clean. In our bathroom, the semiused soap from people before was still laying at the bathtube. Very long waiting time for hot water. (aprox. 15.min) Roomsize was really big, furniture looked new, but everything looks like nobody is really taking care of.Bedsheets, Pillows and towels were clean. I slept quit well. Others from our traveling group haven't been so lucky. As there are also partyrooms in the restaurant downstairs, it was really noisy till late at night.Breakfast: ok. On Sundays no fresh bread and buns, but the rest was fresh.

The dreaded German service- sorry to bother you with my customI happened to be there twice on the same day and had I not arranged to meet a very long friend in the vending in the restaurants there wouldnât have been enough horses around to pull me back in this placeI stopped there in the morning passing by for a quick breakfast in their downstairs bar- it was early (7.30) but full and great warm weatherNow queue discipline or control off whatsoever, no menus - you stood on the bar and if you knew what you wanted (and what hey had great) - ow ask for a menu- back in the queue .....After I ordered I was given my coffee and a time for my cooked breakfast- I was more than halfway through my coffe when this rang and faced the next problemYou guess it - back to the queue- (my seat was gönne by the time I came back - so donât go alone), same long queue - I could see my food waiting on the pass slowly getting cold....- there are three of four stations but none for people who collect their orders- and they are not served either - how weird is thatI was so pi.....ed off that I honestly do not remember hw the food and coffee was in the end - looking at the queues they ist get something right but........ never again - downstairs From the memo Ent you enter the restaurant/bar upstairs you enter a different world - when i was back there in the evening I was impressed with the food, drinks on offer and even the service - as well as the view out of the floor to ceiling windows.....I could now continue to describe dishes etc but I am still to annoyed with my morning experience - but we had a great evening upstairsAvoid the bar like the plagueIf you have to go use the restaurant (itâs busy even midweek - might need to book - my friend did)Hello cramorra, thank you for your feedback !We are sorry that you were disappointed by our espressobar downstairs.Everything is selfservice there and most of the people decide from the food in the show case.If you want to order a full breakfast menu, we recommend our restaurant upstairs. Moreover we are very sorry, that there was a missunderstanding about collecting your order. You don´t have to get back in the queue, but you can pick it up directly at the pass with your given number. As a family business it is very important for us to make your stay as great as possible. We hope we can excite you next time.Greatings fro the Irschenberg,- your DINZLER-team

This place is located in a very good location, overlooking the lake and a mountain view with lush forests, it is great. The restaurant offers traditional German food and the service is fast. The beer garden offers a place to enjoy both food and beer German style, they serve their portions generously. I recommend it to anyone and I must go back again.

Situated in the Glonnvalley, this is a truly authentic Bavarian inn. The menu is rather short and changes frequently, which suggested (and proved to be true) that everything is freshly prepared. So, if you are looking for the ubiquituous Bavarian choice of food, you may not be happy here, although all dishes have a distinctly Bavarian touch. The wine list is rather uninspiring but if you talk to the waitress she will probably offer you some bottles which are not on the menu (we had a very nice Riesling). The food is simply excellent, whether starters, main dishes or dessert. A truly enjoyable evening.
