This is a typical German restaurant with a small twist. The dishes were very tasty, excellent prepared. The small twist was the mustard (famous in Bautzen) that is added to some of them:- we had a mustard soup and mustard goulash The interior is very nice and cosy and the service professional.

We like Genusspavillon DeLise because of the quality of cooking and service. My wife and I spent there many wonderful evenings as a couple, with family members or with friends.

I have taken three trips to Bautzen since 2011, two of the latter being partially based on returning to this very restaurant. Nowhere in my experience (not terribly extensive in Germany) have I found a place with 2L beers, mainly the largest is the dimpled one liter traditional German steins. Anyways, the food has always been great at this restaurant and the fact that they offer a 2L beer is a total seller and for a considerably reasonable price as well. Definite must for lunch or dinner if in Bautzen and conveniently located. I will say the last time that the service was lacking. They seemed somewhat relatively busy, but it also seemed like they may have been understaffed and this resulted in approximately 35-40 minutes for us to receive our rather simple order. I was more than halfway finished with my 2L beer by the time the food arrived. A definite scar on an otherwise good experience.

This was a nice discovery in Bautzen were we didn't really expect anything that good. This small place offers a comprehensive offer of nicely presented dishes. Products are good, presentation is neat, service excellent. Prices in the average (although 1 euro for bread was a bit mean and probably not necessaryâ¦). Reservations in the evening seem to be advisable. Very recommended.

Our food was very tastefully. They offer standard european food for example cutlets, most of the meals are made with mustard (the theme of the restaurant) and they offer exlusive creation also with mustard (recomended) the servise was friendly and attentive

Owned by a Sorbian family, the menu boasts Sorbian specialties and guests are greeted with bread and salt in the traditional Sorbian way. Perhaps the best-known Sorbian fine dining establishment in Bautzen, this restaurant is defintely worth a visit.
