We always eat here when we are in this area. They offer German cuisine, have the best schnitzel and potato salad, very recommended Flammkuchen and tasty local wines. The service is a different story, old school, quite impatient and never in a good mood, but the food is worth it. We even bring our guests here, because the whole experience, including the service, is very authentic;-)

Weinhaus Steinbach is a hidden gem. It is located in a very old, 17th century house, with a beer garden in the courtyard. The interior is old and very original. The food is excellent and the way they serve the wine ... brilliant. You've got to try it. When trying to drink the wine you need to first bow to the wine - you'll see. Try their Bratkartoffel (fried potatoes), Tafelspitz and excellent Spanferkelhaxe (baby pig trotters) - very German and very good.

We booked here not sure what we would find. We were made very welcome, we were given help with the menu and had attentive service throughout. The food was delicious with a variety of flavours coming through both in the meat and fish dishes. The atmosphere was great, we saw a 3 generation family enjoying their meal with children well catered for. Others were well attended. We have eaten out several times in our 3 week holiday in Germany but this was the best.

I have picked Reduttchen restaurant based on good reviews I read on TripAdvisor on a recent visit to Bonn. I have to concur with the good reviews. Service was excellent, with great attention to details and the needs of diners. The food was exceptionally presented and very tasteful. Between the 5 of us, we had tasted most of the menu. We were all highly satisfied. The selection of dished is rich and diverse; the presentation is enticing; the taste is amazing. It is also very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it! I would like to point out the Pina Colada dessert; it is a celebration of coconut ice cream on a crunchy bottom, submerged in a pineapple sauce. It was absolutely delicious.Dear tlvla, many thanks for the great compliments. It's nice to hear that TripAdvisor reviews have been confirmed. Because the good reviews are for us the reason to continue to work on us.Also, since you made such a good review, maybe helping other guests find their way to us, thank you.Since even many Bonner have not noticed what is hiding in Bad Godesberg. ;)And if you are from sunny California again in Bonn, we look forward to welcoming you in the Redüttchen. The Redüttchen team

My wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat whilst staying at a nearby hotel when we stumbled across this wonderful establishment. The owner at first seemed hesitant to serve is because she already had a pretty full restaurant. However she advised us to find a table and she would come to us as soon as possible. Not only did she serve us very quickly but she brought another member of staff who spoke better English than she did. This charming lady advised us to have the sausage and cheese platter. It was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. If you are in this area, stop and sample the food here.

I am a regular customer in this traditional German restaurant. I particularly like to come Tuesdays because they cook the typical potato pancakes from this region (Rievkoche). Very crisp, only served with apple puree, is a very simple dish but very tasty. If you do not know this Rhineland treat you should try it once and may be you get hooked up like the many people that come just for that. It is "All you can eat" and they serve it until 19h!

You wouldn't expect a great fish restaurant in Oberhausen but Chamai is really a great place to go! Fish is in focus but also other dishes such as very tasty meat or even vegan/vegaterian dishes are very good. If you want to have great fish dishes, Chamai is the place to go! Nice and cosy atmospehere round up the food quality...

From perfect service and absolutely top quality food every euro you will spend here is a direct investment into your culinary wellbeing to the highest of standards. A great location for a romantic dinner, a delightful party in the scenic cellar or a quick and suprisingly affordable lunch. This is one of the best restaurants ive ever been too and is definitely among the best restaurants in the region thanks to its creative chef. Highly recommended

This is central in Godesberg and we love coming here for a cocktail at happy hour as the choice is terrific, with weekly specials (beware the St Pauli Killer, which truly lives up to its name!) The service here is always excellent, friendly and fast. You can also eat something with you drinks, as happy hour means 2 drinks for the price of one and they are not diluted with lots of ice unlike some other places. We go for the mixed antipasto platter to mop up the alcohol. Must say however have been here for coffee with aged relatives and the service is also great, as is the terrific Sunday morning breakfast. Always a pleasure to come here.
