We think hiring a Tuk Tuk in Sri Lanka is a must do experience! You get to experience the country from a difference point of view, not to mention the flexibility you have to stop wherever you want and whenever you want (e.g. Small markets, tempels, waterfalls or coffee spots). The owner of this Tuk Tuk rental Dayan Chinthaka (just send him a WhatsApp via +94776685331) offered us great services and a really good Tuk Tuk for a bargain (we double checked prices elsewhere and indeed, he is below market average). Make sure to contact Dayan a few weeks again so he can help you get the (required) local drives (you need an international drivers license, with which he can issue the local license). Before driving off with the Tuk Tuk you get a +/- 1.5 hour driving lesson (in Negombo, transfer form airport can be provided by Dayan), which helps in getting comfortable with the Tuk Tuk, and the Sri lankan roads / traffic. We used the Tuk Tuk throughout Sri Lanka (Negombo > Sigiriya > Kandy > Ella > Udawalawa > Dikwella > Mirissa > Hikkaduwa > Negombo), but wanted to experience the train trip from Kandy to Ella (must see), so Dayan arranged a driver to pick up our Tuk Tuk at the kandy train station and wait for us at the Ella train station (great!). Overall: lots of fun, get in contact with Dayan!

Shane tours was the best choice. An agency worthy of trust! Shane is a such a kind guy that will help you to find the best moto for your trip! We rented a scooter and Kawasaki Estrella for 15 days and did a roundtrip through Sri Lanka. We did 2100 km without any problems. They were so helpful and was always available on WhatsApp during our trip if we had any issues. Highly recommended!

Absolute first class service from the booking, to pickup and drop off ! We hired a 350cc Royal Enfield to ride on a long tour of the southern part of Sri Lanka. What a stunning bike to look at and great to drive. The bikes are in absolutely mint condition and easy to ride even for first timers. Anton (the owner of the rental business) was the perfect host, from organising a sheep skin for the saddle, which we highly recommend as travelling hours each day on a bike can certainly take its toll on your nether regions, to taking us to buy suitable helmets and driving us there to purchase them (approx 40 USD for a top notch full face helmet). He is passionate about his bikes and this transmits into his dealings with his customers. What a great bloke! It was an unforgettable experience exploring on a bike. From the chaos in Colombo, to the shoreline of Galle and in the far reaching vistas of the tea plantations above Kandy, the Royal Enfield caught everyone’s eye. With the sun rising and setting in our day we marvelled at the sights and honking buses we encountered. Driving in Sri Lanka is not for the faint hearted! We wouldn’t have done it any other way. So a big thank you to Cockney Rebels for providing us with a safe ride with the glorious mean machine! Thank you and see you again soon.

Driving your own tuk tuk around tje island was a blessing: no worries at all. Absolutely lovely to have everything taken care of: licenses, info, airport pickup and even a very helpful training. Throughout tje 3 week trip we could always whatsapp Tiron if there was a problem. He always responded immediately. 10/10 would recommend!
