The shrines and temples of Kyoto offer a rare link between modern life in the city and its very ancient past. The Shimogamo Shrine dates to the 6th century and seems suspended in time, its serenity and spiritual power still palpable. Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, then see the life-sized Thousand Armed Kannon statues of Sanjūsangen-dō. Enjoy traditional geisha performances, then savor a tranquil meal at a restaurant overlooking the Kamo River.

Found J-Cycle via my Maps.me app. Hired an electric bike for 5 hours for an afternoon. Employees were very friendly and showed me how the bike worked and gave me a map to follow. the map has many route suggestions. Once out of the busy city streets of Kyoto found the footpaths very wide with bike lanes etc. Road to the Golden Temple (took approx 45mins - free parking for bike) then on to Philosopher's Path, cycled along the river then back to return bike. Open till late. You can also hire bike for 2 days if you wish.

Hi there. It's a rental bicycle shop in Kyoto. It's very close to Kyoto station. Kyoto is a great city to explore by bicycle. With the exception of the outlying areas, it is mostly flat and there is a usuful bike path tunning the length of the Kamo-gawa(river).Sometimes it is much faster to see around by bicycles than trains or buses.

Our staff will be very happy to help with your itinerary to make your day in Kyoto an amazing one! We are really looking forward for your visit!
I rented a bike from dinner today- it was amazing! I was helped by very friendly staff who asked about where I was heading, recommended some additional stops, mapped out a route for me, and gave me the map and handy tips on how to get around Kyoto by bike! I had a wonderful day. The bike was such a great way to get around. Sometimes bike parking isn’t obvious but the fuune team had showed me where I would need to pay and where I could park for free. I got back to the shop after 6 and locked the bike up - hassle free. I couldn’t recommend this highly enough.

The man behind Passione, Mr. Naoki, was a very, very forthcoming and friendly man who vigorously explained all about the cycling routes around Kyoto, giving very good information on bicycle paths along the river from the Bamboo grove, and who was very thoughtful of our needs. This guy truly has passion for cycling and it is very contagious. Oh by the way, he has awesome bikes. Super neat city friendly bikes with slick tires and 7-speed gears, ensuring the climbs to the hills of Kyoto is as easy as eating chocolate and the ride down as fast and sharp as the flight of a Samurai's arrow. I highly recommend this place in every way possible.

The Kyoto Concierge Salon is a place where you can experience Japanese traditional culture. We provide the rental kimono service, tea ceremony experience, and guided tours, etc. We also organize parties where locals and tourists can interact, so please call us to find out what we have scheduled for the week. Our salon is a renovated 300 years old samurai residence, so you can simply come to our cafe&bar to enjoy some tea or coffee and take photos of our wonderful facilities!
Can’t say enough good things about the tea ceremony and kimono rental that we did with these guys yesterday - didn’t really know what I was letting myself in for! If you want a real taste of Japan when you come to Kyoto go straight here. The service is fantastic and they are so friendly and welcoming it just makes you want to go back - particularly the tea ceremony, brilliant!
