Nagano Prefecture (長野県, Nagano-ken) is a landlocked prefecture of Japan located in the Chūbu region on the island of Honshu. The capital is the city of Nagano. Due to the abundance of mountain ranges in this area, the land available for inhabitance is relatively limited.

I cant speak highly enough of this rental shop. Good prices and great gear. We hired premium stuff and they were more than happy to swap each day depending on whether we wanted powder or carve skis for the day. We hired for five days, but took one of the middle days off because it rained. We let them know early that morning, left the gear in the drying room and they refunded a day's hire! Fantastic service.

Rhythm Japan Hakuba store is located at the old Wadona Visitors centre, across the road from the Mominoki Hotel. They stock skis to cover all snow conditions and skier/rider levels. The store offer a huge range of ski hire, snowboard hire and retail gear including premium and standard ski/board for both adult and kids. The team of expert boot fitters also provide custom boot fitting services and also have you covered for all your other needs such as tuning and repairs, outerwear and accessories!
Awesome company, really good at guiding the right ski/ snowboard equipment based on your size and experience. A shuttle bus stops at a hotel which is pretty close Rhyme to measure sizes. Also helps that they can pick up your equipment from your hotel. I found them great because I had no idea on the equipment I needed and half of the employees speak English as first language.

A huge thank you to the team at Nozawa Central Rental! They went above and beyond to help after I made a last minute decision to re-hire my gear for an extra half-day's skiing (it was too hard to resist the surprise 40cm snow dump the night before). They drove me back to the rental, quickly sorted out my skis again and even drove me to the bottom of the gondola so I could be one of the first on the mountain to make fresh tracks on a bluebird powder morning. The skis and boots were well maintained, and they delivered and picked up the skis from my villa.
