Steeped in History, The Royal Saracens Head is located in the picturesque town of Beaconsfield. Dating back to the 18th century, when it was originally a coaching inn, this intriguing pub, bar and restaurant with courtyard and garden, is perfectly equippe
We went back for our 2nd time after being impressed by our first time there. Menu change with less options but the choices were still variedWe started simply with assorted fresh, warm bread with butter & a dish of olives. For my main meal I chose pan fried salmon, mussels on samphire, new potatoes. Amazing tastes within the meal. Hubby had the glazed belly pork on mash with spinach & gravy & he loved it. Portion sizes were good. We didnât have dessert as weâd eaten enough but next time I will be having dessert & no starters! Definitely recommend Hi Meggsy54, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience and we're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit. We hope to be of service to you again in the future. Best wishes, Mihai DeftaAssistant Manager

The White Lion does what any decent pub should. We serve great beer, delicious handcrafted food and the best coffee.
We returned to the White Lion after a few years and found that the food is still excellent, we booked a table as we were concerned we would not get in but we did not need to bother, it is obviously not as popular anymore due to the poor service from the girls working there and the music which was too loud and not suited to the clientele in the restaurant, obviously the music was just for the staff. On a positive side the food was excellent and very good value, we will probably return again some time just for the food.Really sorry to hear about this but I think you have left a review on the wrong White Lion pub. We are in little Chalfont & our band plays to all our customers. we are more than happy for you to come and visit us at The While Lion, Little Chalfont and hope to give you a better experience.

The new management seem lovely, the food great & the Sunday carvery great value & unmissable. Five or so of us have been coming here for years, & we all agree - we really don't like the harsh eco lighting, bright white walls & stark new make-over generally. It was a cosy, country local, but even the snug bar has a strip light in one part and a TV - surely one TV is enough? you can't get away from it... We'd still come for the Sunday roasts, but not an evening drink. It's a real shame - hope they fix it.

Part of the Brunning and Price family, the White Horse is a lovely pub restaurant in Beaconsfield. Visit our website for today's menu, to book online and for more photos.
Stylishly furnished bar with discrete but interlinked dining area. Comfortable stools and wooden chairs, plus leather dining chairs. Interesting array of prints and photographs adorn the walls, and skilful positioning of plants enhances the chic elegance of the interior. The menu is traditional English with imaginative embellishments. Substantial range of good quality ales and wines, all priced to represent good value. Service from Quentin and his colleagues was impeccably responsive yet gracefully unobtrusive.

We had a great value Travelzoo voucher for 2 courses and a glass of fizz. The setting is idyllic, the young staff are lovely and very efficient and the food is fabulous. As we walked in I saw the Thai menu and assumed it was only available on certain nights, so was very pleased to be given this menu as well as the standard one as it was included in the deal. The curry was very pleasingly hot (maybe too much for some people but perfect for me!). A great place, and I hope to return.

We were passing through and chose this place for Sunday lunch as it was listed as dog- friendly and it looked like it had a lot of greenery around it for a nice post lunch walk. We were not disappointed. Very friendly welcome, nice ambience, offered the dog water. Good menu choice- the usual Sunday roasts offered ( I had a lovely vegetarian Chestnut roast with all the trimmings incl veg gravy and a great yorkshire pudding) and hubby had steak which was a good size and he said was perfectly cooked. Great chips too! Yummy dessert choice. Nice lakeside walks nearby. Will definitely come again if in the area. We both had two courses, and bill was just over £40 incl two pints of beer so we thought this was good value.

A friendly gastro pub in a pretty area. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food was tasty and plentiful.Perhaps it is a little too noisy on a Saturday evening, so I will try again midweek.Dear Stephen Many thanks for your review. The main bar is especially busy at weekends perhaps request our Dining Room which is quieter. We look forward to seeing you soon. Kind regards Amanda Lillitou
