Reviews on Gastropub food in Bordeaux, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. After many years of hard work, the "Sleeping Beauty" has awoken from its slumber. The city is beautifully restored and has an ultra-modern public transport system. The “Port of the Moon” is also now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Stone Bridge, with its 17 arches, crosses the Garonne, offering pedestrians a lovely view over the docks and harbor. Take a stroll through old Bordeaux in the Triangle d'Or and stop at Place des Quinconces, France’s largest public square. The city of Bordeaux is an ideal base for exploring the greater wine region’s unforgettable sights and tastes.

"A traditional Bordeaux eatery just moments from the banks of the Garonne River, the Bistrot des Anges offers a welcoming atmosphere, friendly service and pleasant surroundings - the ideal foil to a mouthwatering menu of classic French dishes. Intimate an
Because of the positive reviews we went here for dinner. A disinterested waitress asked what we want for aperitive, we asked for a glass of red wine and for the menu. After 10 minutes no wine. The menu was a list for lunch. We asked for the diner cart, this was not possible, diner is only late in the evening. A minute later another waitress put the diner menu on the table without saying anything or without giving any attention. Prices were at least 40 euro for a 3 course meal which is quite expensive for Bordeaux prices. The table next to us had beer already, and they arrived 10 minutes after us. We decided to just leave the place and had a great meal elsewhere which included service with a smile.

New gourmet restaurant located in the old Bordeaux, "St Pierre" district. After many years with great chefs (Alain Ducasse, Alain Senderens, Michel Portos), David Grangier and Olivier Rouland wanted to combine their expertise to offer their "cuisine", sim
Relatively small place in an old building with a nice bright room. Menu découverte was very good. Great wine list - well chosen medium priced wines. Friendly service. Picked it out of a guide book and then heard great things when people learned we would be going there.

If you are reading my review itâs probably because youâre trying to decide whether or not to go to this cocktail bar. Well stop reading now because the answer is. YES. go. Go right now. If you do one thing for yourself in life: it would be going here, right now. If youâre still reading and need more convincing:The place is owned by 4 young chaps who are beyond their years in the artistry and chemistry of food and beverages. The food is some of the best weâve tasted in France (the hummus, shrimp, and beef tar tar are absolutely fantastic) the drinks are exceptionally creative and unique. They are combinations of flavors that excite your palate in clever and unique ways; and continue to linger even when your glass is empty. Weâve travelled the USA and Europe, and this is by far one of the most amazing experiences weâve had to date. Please just go! Find your way past the clock, enjoy the ambience of great company, food, and drinks. All the best to the truly gifted artists of this incredible cocktail bar and restaurant. You are all incredible.

Finding restaurants like this tucked away I a quite neighbourhood of Merignac is what visiting France is all about. The restaurant is family and couple oriented. There's a great welcome when you arrive into surroundings of traditional and modern. We tried the Chef's menu which was 3 courses and an amuse bouche all for â¬35. What a bargain for a. Saturday night. Good wines are available by the glass. The a la carte menu looked very tempting as well but it is tough to beat the Chef's menu. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Friendly, helpful server....passionate about wine and food and bubbling over with enthusiasm for both. We both had the tasting menu, two entrees and a main plus dessert. The entrees were very good, especially the celeriac carbonara. Very imaginative use of a vegetable. My main of pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked, not overdone at all, still juicy. The other entree, fish, was equally well prepared. Unfussy presentation. Roasted figs for dessert. A very nice wine, a bargain! Lovely evening in all but just short of perfection. Not sure if weâll go back.

We found this gem through instagram! Such beautiful experience, service and food! The menu is small and deliberate. Just order anything, everything will be delicious! The menu used incredible fresh ingredients with a slight Asian influence in flavours and stunning presentation.
