We visited the garden/gallery and were so happy we did! It offers a beautiful and lush respite from the touristy Montego Bay hip strip. Ras greeted us and gave a brief history of the home/garden/museum and interesting experience of building on the steep hillside/cliff while a hummingbird landed in my hand to feed from the feeder. The guide was very informative and pleasant. It rained while we were there which seemed only to enhance the experience...they provided us with umbrellas.

Although I only had a fleeting visit of the garden, it was the highlight of my two week trip to Jamaica. Absolutely serenity. The water itself is a blue/green, surrounded by lush folliage and hills. The journey up past Shrewbury Falls and Roaring River was breath taking, you pass small traditional communities before reaching a very quiet, secluded and beautifully maintained garden. The garden itself is very small, but the lack of tourists and silence is amazing. There are some medium sized fish in the water which will come up to feed. Further down the road, you can also enter the river- the current is strong and the water is cold so be aware- water shoes are advised. Absolutely worth the journey, an unforgettable experience. I will stay in the accommodation on my next trip. The photos do not do it justice in any way. Caution may be needed during rainy season as the roads were pot holed and poorly managed.

Riverside Garden Estate, perfect for weddings, events, and weekend getaways. Villa Apartments, Walkthrough Gardens, and River Access.
Bamboo rafting, limestone foot massage, knowledgeable local information. Tremaine shared his love of the river and area with us. We enjoyed the lime on our sugar cane, the citrus leaf, the elephant leaves, and his general goodwill.

Beautiful, well-kept gardens just a short walk from the center of town.
Well worth the visit, beautiful gardens set in the hillside, we were shown around by our guide Richard, who was amazingly knowledgeable of the history of the gardens and all the plants and creatures in the surroundings, a fab place for any keen photographer with the views of Ocho and humming birds and fauna. At only $10 entry it's worth every penny.

A tropical forest with 6-7 waterfalls, a feeding koy pond, and Aviary exhibit where parrots eat feed out of your hands. Really a cool experience and not crowded at all like Dunnes River Bc no one really knows about this place. Highly recommended

Barney is a delightful host. His garden is beyond beautiful, and he showed us the perfect technique to get the birds to drink the sugar water...so much fun to feed them!

We had an excellent time at the park. In our favor there were very few other people there so we had a very good, leisurely walk up the falls and through the gardens. The visit was especially enjoyable due to the best tour guide ever - Jordan. He was very informative, humorous, and captured special moments with our camera that we would have missed. We had a pleasant tour of the falls - bring water shoes and be adventuresome! Do not hesitate to feed the birds - you will be pleasantly surprised! We highly recommend that you visit the gardens and falls.

A children's zoo and beautifully manicured gardens are highlights of this spot.
Being just a few minutes drive away from UWI Mona and a walk away from UTECH; I decided to visit the location after a stressful week of Uni. Upon entering the compound you are greeted by a long stretch of road vegetated with tall shady trees (lovely to walk along after a nice visit). Parking is available at a small cost close to the garden main entrance. There are vendors on-site before the garden main entrance offering cold beverages and local snacks. The gardens are sectionalized according to the architecture and biodiversity. Many improvements have been made to the park including a Chinese Garden (entrance fee required) and placement of additional seating. Sheltered and spacious gazebos can be found disbursed throughout though limited. Fear not! Bring your blankets and picnic baskets and enjoy the blue skies, majestically tall local palms and lush green grassy fields adorned with local shrubs and bushes! Family friendly and many times I've noticed small church groups and collections of youth and young adults having a small meetings! Call ahead since sometimes the gardens are reserved for private functions! I would highly recommend anyone in Kingston on a short stay in the urban centre or students who need an escape, to visit. It is a wonderful display of Jamaica's commitment to preserving its natural beauty! The Hope Zoo is also attached and entrance fees vary by residency and age. They offer a range of local, regional and international animals. I had not been able to visit the Safari Restaurant though their photos and advertisement seem quite appealing!
