Every neighborhood in San Francisco has its own personality, from the hippie chic of the Upper Haight to the hipster grit of the Mission. The Marina district boasts trendy bistros and postcard-perfect views of the Golden Gate Bridge, while Noe Valley offers quaint and quiet boutiques. Wave hello to the sea lions at Pier 39, and sample local cheese and charcuterie at the Ferry Building. Sit in on a yoga session in Dolores Park or marvel at the Dutch Windmill across from Ocean Beach.

This Victorian style greenhouse in the Golden Gate Park should not be missed. Beautiful orchids and carnivorous plants.

Four-acre refuge in Golden Gate Park featuring Japanese architecture and gardens.
It costs $9 per adult and it's worth every penny! This is a gorgeous garden filled with such beauty for the eyes to behold! We spent at least 40 minutes there. Every moment was a delight!

There are 2 windmills at the western most end of Golden Gate Park. The Dutch Windmill is at the north corner and has a beautiful tulip garden which was in full bloom the 3rd week of March. It’s a very small park with the windmill and tulips gardens in the immediate area but is a must see particularly in spring when the flowers are in bloom. There are no public restrooms and there can be many people even in slow times because the park is very small. We loved the park and would highly recommend visiting. At the other corner of the south end of Golden Gate Park is the Murphy Windmill which has just a Windmill to see along with a small keepers house and a couple placards with history but nothing else in that immediate area.
