This is the bistro of the 5 star hotel Araguaney, located somewhere in the basement of the compound.Service of the waitress was pretentious, without knowledge of her trade. The young man who cut our cured ham was friendly, but did only serve some plates.Food was nicely presented, but with the exception of the ham (not difficult to do, just buy good quality) and the Saint Peter fish, rather mediocre. Some ingredients were used right out of a tin or jar.Good thing is, that for most of the courses, they give the possibility to order half a ration, and even that one can be shared. Since you can eat solely à la carte, this way you can combine a little menue of your own.Winelist was ok, not too pricey. All in all not an overwhelming experience.

Here I had the best oysters I've ever had. They open them in front of you and you eat them sitting down in front of the kitchen. It's not a restaurant, but a cute food corner if you are looking for something fast, delicious and not expensive. Oysters are 2 euro each and there are two kinds, i loved both of them. Owners explained me the origin of the oysters. Staff is really kind.

After a morning sightseeing in Santiago de Compostella we were debating where to lunch when at a convenient corner near La Salle parking where the car was, we saw an intriguing sign "Izakaya Gallega". Well being fond of the Japanese pub food outlets in the first part of the name we decided to give it a try. Best decision for ages. Great food - Japanese style but with local ingredients. Super service from two knowledgeable staff one of whom had spent time in London so spoke perfect English. A really refreshing change from the excellent Spanish food we'd been enjoying up until then. High recommended.

In the historic center of Santiago de Compostela, a few meters from the museum of contemporary art you will find the restaurant Garum Bistro, a casual and cozy gastronomic outing with the air of an old tavern that stands out for its fair decoration, witho
This should be a first amazing hotel (Altair) and very nearby restaurant (Garum). This clicked on all cylinders. Two of us had 4 tapas dishes (top quality and good quantity) and a dessert and we were amazed with all courses. The team was so personable and great to interact with. If back in this part of Spain, this is a mandatory visit!!!!Thanks for your comments. We hope to see you soon again!

Smallish menu but enough to cater for most tastes. Portions were plentiful and tapas looked appetising. Seems to be popular with young locals. Good value. Lovely garden, with a fantastic view of the cathedral, but sadly because of the weather we had to eat inside which was comfortable.

This was our second and final night in Santiago, still celebrating the end of our Camino. We'd had all sorts of food on our way, from fine dining to simple bocadillos. This place fell somewhere in the middle. Food was pretty cheap, certainly great value. Burgers were outstanding, good quality meat and really well cooked. Friendly staff topped it off. 5/5 for us!

I had dinner there last night after reading good reviews. Couldnât get in the night before but last night it wasnât busy at all. Had tomato salad which they are famous for, and even though I ordered a starter portion it was enormous and I could only eat a half portion. Tasty enough if you like tomatoes! For main course I had hake, Muros style. It looked beautiful on a bed of sliced potatoes, but in true Galician style it was way over salted. I donât know why they use so much salt. Itâs overpowering and you canât taste the fish at all!Maybe another dish would be less salty....
