Victoria is a thriving city of heritage architecture and time-honored traditions like afternoon tea. With the ocean at its doorstep and wilderness in its backyard, it’s also a perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts. You can find everything from a world-class science and natural history museum to a blooming public park where peacocks roam freely, plus a range of unique shops, cafes and restaurants. And more cycling routes than any other Canadian city, providing a great way to explore the scenery.

Brought my kids here shortly after it opened at 11am and stayed about three hours playing games and enjoying snacks. It is a combination cafe and place to sit and play games. There are about 8-10 large tables in the family friendly section and probably more than that in the 19+ section (which is fairly separated). There are over 500 games to choose from that you can play and they also have a section in front where you can purchase new games to take with you. They have a great selection of games to purchase. We ordered one of their homemade milkshakes, a hot chocolate, an Italian soda and a bowl of popcorn. We got our game started and our food arrived to our table. I love that the milkshake was served in a metal container that kept it frozen for more than an hour and the hot chocolate was served in a metal insulated mug that kept it hot for more than an hour. We played several different board and card games during our three hours there. It was so much fun, so relaxing and excellent service. Any game you want to learn how to play they will teach you. If we had a place like this located where we live, we would be regulars.

Rockstar Bingo is the brainchild of Victoria’s favourite classics to modern rock cover band, SuperSauce. A fun-loving band of seasoned professionals who love what they do while also living a little on the edge … every show is an adventure, sometimes even a surprise. But what’s really got the locals talking is the latest wave to hit Victoria’s music scene. Introducing Rockstar Nights – an interactive weekly music game show that comes to you live from the intimate depths of the Distrikt Nightclub in the Strathcona Hotel. Every Thursday night at 8pm, SuperSauce gears up to play a weekly game of Rockstar Bingo. Bring your friends and your phone and get ready to sing along and play #livebandbingo. Covid-19 Status Note: during COVID-19, we are entertaining folks in the safety of their homes by streaming live on Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube.
What a fun Thursday night! Rockstar Bingo is weekly music bingo show with a live band playing all the songs. Friends and I have been joining in every week to check out the the song selection and use our phones to access the app that generates a bingo card. Very cool to play this online (during Covid) as well as in-person (pre-Covid lockdown/post-Covid lockdown) at the venue! Lots of familiar tunes from the 80's and 90's which is perfect for our circle of friends! The band, SuperSauce is very talented and has a great time on stage, keeping it fun for the audience!

Come and watch film festival movies all year round! The Vic Theatre is brought to you by the Victoria Film Festival. We are a volunteer run movie theatre in the heart of downtown Victoria. We love movies, and we know you do too. Between Quote-Alongs, Sing-Alongs, independent film, TV Parties and anything else we think is cool, The Vic's lineup is definitely worth checking out.
They showed a premiere film from the Vancouver Film Festival. It's a wonderful small theater where you can buy wine and beer. Their popcorn is also great. They always feature great films and we absolutely love going to see movies there.
