Romford is a large town in east London, and the administrative centre of the London Borough of Havering. It is located 14.1 miles (22.7 km) northeast of Charing Cross and is one of the major metropolitan centres identified in the London Plan. It was historically a market town in the county of Essex and formed the administrative centre of the liberty of Havering, until it was dissolved in 1892. Good road links and the opening of the railway station in 1839 were key to the development of the town and the economic history of Romford is underpinned by a shift from agriculture to light industry and then to retail and commerce. As part of the suburban growth of London in the 20th century, Romford significantly expanded and increased in population, becoming a municipal borough in 1937 and has formed part of Greater London since 1965. It now forms one of the largest commercial, retail, entertainment and leisure districts outside central London and has a developed night-time economy.

THE place for outdoor activities! The most exhilarating, hardcore paintballing experience in London, as seen on more TV shows than you can shake a paintball gun at, including The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE). If you don't subscribe to the 'no pain, no gain' mentality but still fancy the same exhilarating experience, we've got you covered! We also offer Low Impact paintballing - the same great game styles but with a lower impact and more armour! As well as this, we offer mini-paintball and laser tag for our younger players. Mayhem now offers fantastic Airsoft Experiences! Lead your team to victory in our close quarter battle maps, based on real COD maps! Set in beautiful woodland on London’s Essex borders, Mayhem Paintball has stood the test of time, with almost three decades of fantastic paintball. And with direct routes from London, we are easily accessible from the heart of the city.

Moby Golf is great for children from about 4 or 5 upwards - as soon as they can hit a golf ball in somewhat the right direction! And for adults too. A great family activity and a brilliant thought-out fun course with water and whale and pirate ship and all sorts! Definitely recommend this place!

Went to Romford Dogs for a stag night, and ate in the pavillion restaurant. The starter was a buffet salad bar, with prawns, pate and a wide selection of other good quality dishes. Second course was a choice of pork, beef or turkey carvery with two kinds of potatoes, yorkshire pudding, carrots and green beans. The dessert either cheese and biscuits or gateaux. Really good quality food for all courses and the portion sizes plentiful.

Kidspace is an award winning indoor adventure park, described by The Metro newspaper as 'Simply put, the Rolls-Royce of children's play centres.' It remains a cut above the competition thanks to its enormous play frame, inclusive Go-Karts, sky trail, new climbing zone, toddler area and Thunderball City. Chuck in a load more cargo nets, rope bridges, tunnels, vertical mazes, exciting slides and cannons galore and you have a recipe for hours of fun and exercise in disguise. Mum and dad can join in too or sit back with a coffee in the spacious seating areas. It is also well known for its fantastic range of parties which include Laser Tag and its deluxe range.
We have visited Kidspace several times over the past few years with our grandchildren and they have always had a great time. We have visited again today, taking our 2 grand-daughters from Australia aged 8 & 12 and they really enjoyed themselves too. It was a quiet day as most other children of their ages would have been at school but there was plenty for them to do. A special mention must go to Ellie who was the member of staff responsible for the go-carts, climbing wall & overhead walkway - she was very friendly and full of encouragement to the girls.
