Opened in March 2016, Newlyn Filmhouse is becoming a popular place to visit. Positioned opposite the Coombe River, the building cuts into a steep granite bank, cleverly housing a two screen Cinema and spacious Cafe Bar. We recommend booking in advance for films, events and restaurant meals. The digital screens feature armchair and sofa style lumbar seating with a tiered layout. The top of the range projection equipment provides razor-sharp Barco DP2K8S digital viewing with audio via punchy 5.1 Dolby Sound Systems. As well as the best in mainstream and alternative cinema, offerings include live events, children's films and local titles. The fully licensed Cafe Bar upstairs is a great place to meet before or after a film, or pop into for a Monmouth coffee and a slice of cake. The seasonal menu provides freshly cooked delicious food, often chosen from the staff's favourite cookbooks. All fresh produce comes from within a half hour radius including fish from Newlyn Fish Company.
This is a small cinema with very high standards of comfort and service. We don't go often but always thoroughly enjoy the visit. Highly recommended.

This was a truly unique experience! We did the JollyRoger room, the details and storyline were engaging and lots of fun, the puzzles were very well thought. Very professional and pleasant, with safe covid measures in place. We really enjoyed it and will definitely go back for more rooms! Thank you so much!

NOW in Penzance and Truro! We are an exciting and interactive real-life escape game. With several themed rooms to choose from, you will have an unforgettable experience full of fun, adventure and intrigue. The goal is simple: race against time to find clues & solve puzzles. You have 60 minutes to escape the room using your mind, logic and teamwork. Every clue, key and code is there - just find them and use them!
We did the cold war room which was great fun and good for a large group. Clues came up on screen when requested which was better than someone having to come in. There were about 10 things you had to do to escape- much better than the ones which only have a few. This escape room involved more ‘exploring’ than some- lots of looking around and examining objects. Overall a great escape room with some clever clues.

The UK's biggest and most celebrated art deco sea water lido in Penzance. Originally opened in 1935, Jubilee Pool is one of only a handful of surviving Lidos in the UK, and the first to have a geothermally heated pool.
Thanks to the passion of the volunteers, supporters and campaigners, this delightful pool, so evocative of a bygone era, has been brought to life for us to enjoy today. The pool is charming and characterful and we have used the main pool in Summer and Autumn, the latter with wetsuits. The cafe is open for drinks and cake in the day and bistro-style meals (Wed - Sunday). I do not hesitate to recommend the Jubilee pool and the helpful and friendly people who work there.

Recently refurbished, modern 4 screen cinema. All the latest blockbusters and event cinema screenings. Savoy Bar & Restuarant is directly next door, take advantage of offers on tickets and meals combined! Part of the Merlin Cinemas Group.
This is my local Cinema and I go regularly, as it’s a five minute walk and really fantastic value with a Movie Magic Card... the seats are very comfy and the staff are friendly. As a massive Downton Fan and also a big supporter of Marie Curie, I and my husband we happy to support this event. Marie Curie provided an invaluable service to a family member with terminal Cancer. It was a great evening in aid of a good cause and was a fabulous film..., the lines of Maggie Smith were sublime....,

Went to use the bowling area, which was good and cheap compared to most. The arcade was very good too, lots of variety and quite generous with tickets/ prizes. Nice way to spend an hour or two.
