Had opportunity to see my first premier league game at st James park. Sat up with the boisterous and loud fans. Super loud, singing and chanting. It is a bit rated R. Great stadium and atmosphere (and Newcastle won the first match of the season).

I visited with my husband and 7yr old son and it was just the break we needed. It's been a long year and we spent some great quality time as a family exploring the forest, fishing on the lakeside and chilling in our hot tub. We stayed in an Ash Premier Spa Lodge and it was absolutely stunning. Beautiful features, super clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We played mini golf, went pond dipping and used the mini segways. All the activities we did we really enjoyed. Unfortunately we missed out on booking the observatory. It was fully booked really quickly so I recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. A couple nights we had food from the on site restaurant which was really nice and we also visited Bellingham and the little cafe there. It serves a brilliant full English. Apart from that we cooked in the lodge. We had a fantastic break and would thoroughly recommend it.

We came here on an extremely wet weekend in the summer holidays and expected the pool to be rammed - we were pleasantly surprised. We went to the fun inflatable session, fun for our older children and good selection of toys in the small pool for my 2 year old. Staff were cheerful and managed the inflatable well so the kids were safe but had some freedom. Everyone had a good time.

Hexham Racecourse is a thoroughbred horse racing venue located in Northumberland (UK), where a warm and friendly welcome always awaits you. Hexham Racecourse takes full advantage of a natural amphitheatre of sloping grass below the stands to provide superb viewing of racing as well as the magnificent surrounding countryside.
I’ve just returned from a two day trip to Northumberland and I just had to visit Hexham races again! It literally is the racecourse in Britain with the finest views. Although it was one of the coldest days of the year i still managed to take shelter in one of their bars, especially the one in the club enclosure as the views from there are outstanding. What I did find interesting was the fact that they don’t have a grandstand, however this doesn’t deter from the what always is a wonderful day out.

We love it. So many bits of the park you can visit just on their own. Young children's play area, sand pit, duck pond, big lawns of grass, foujtains, streams, vafe, toilets, baby change, sensory garden, blackberry picking in the autumn. Such a wonderful place. I'm glad my child can grow up going to this park!
