I was lucky enough to accompany my daughter to the screening of a French film with English subtitles at the Star Cinema, Eaglehawk (Bendigo). The cinema is furnished with one and two seater couches, which contributes to the comfortable and intimate atmosphere. If you like, you can sip a glass of wine or beer and even tea and coffee during the screening, which you can purchase at the kiosk run by volunteers. There are even cute side tables to rest your cup or glass as well as your snacks. Adults around $17.

Escape games are in Bendigo! Come along with a team of friends and solve mind boggling puzzles, decode hidden messages, unlock locks, use codes and escape within 60 minutes!
Fantastic game with a great story! We just made it out with 8 mins to spare. Phew! Plenty of different styles of clues to solve. The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional. Everything was well organised and ready to go. The young chap who introduces the game is bright, bubbly and sets the scene well. Assistance was given over the radio but nothing was given away, e.g.. we had the right combination, but were lining up the numbers wrong on the lock. So we were able to enjoy the game without wasting precious time. We made it out and were met by the radio lady who went through the story in extra detail making the experience more REAL. It is great to have these escape rooms in Bendigo and add it to the list of fun experiences and locally run businesses! I think we have the Escape bug now as we're looking forward to going back and trying our skills against the other two games at Breakout Bendigo! - The Benelli's

The designers of playground used the Banjo Patterson poem Mulga Bill as inspiration for playground and it is very well designed with lots for kids to do. It features a fenced play space for younger kids and next door are two amazing slides (one big and one small). Underneath the smaller slide is a fun hamster wheel that kids adored. Next to the park is a flying fox which is always a hit. My son especially loved the cycling air bike. An added bonus was watching locals run there toy remote control boats in the lake

Breaking up our trip from Melbourne it was nice to find a free splash park still operating in the evening on a hot summers day , also kids playground , tables and chairs , wildlife ducks and kangaroos in the grass land . Nice green oval for the kids to have a run. Plenty of car parking
