My boyfriend bought us evening class spaces to make soup bowl and garnish bowls. This was a loose theme - you were encouraged to get as creative as you wanted with the design and function of the bowls. We got to try different styles of pottery making with pinch pot creations, mould made bowls and we got to learn the basics of pottery wheels and 'throw' our own bowl/mug/jug. I found the pottery making evening one of the most relaxing things I've done in a long time. There was no pressure of be good first time - there was as much clay as you wanted and needed and no time pressure, the evening didn't feel rushed at all. We went back a few weeks later and got paint our pieces and we are very happy with the results! The staff were so friendly, welcoming and encouraging to everyone, it was a lovely atmosphere to learn in.

Polowood Shooting Ground

Clay pigeon shooting in Brighton - and a whole lot more! As well as aiming at clays and shooting air rifles, you can also fire off some arrows with our Archery Experiences and even lob a few axes too at this clay shoot ground just in-land from Brighton. We’ve got a whole range of experiences for you to choose from, so you can pick the shoot ‘em up day to suit you. Polowood shooting ground is tucked away amongst grazing farmland and woods at the foot of the lovely South Downs hills. You leave touristy Brighton behind when you hit the narrow country lane running along the bottom of the ridge that takes you to the farm estate base. It’s a pretty stunning entrance, to say the least and sets the scene for the rest of the your clay pigeon shooting day. Indeed, it’s all very countrified round these parts, with a trusty Landy often being used to transport guests around the 10 acre site. A warm welcome from Polowood shoot’s owner Gary and it’s straight into the clay pigeon shooting. This is the mainstay of this shooting ground and there’s an excellent variety of stands and shooting styles.

An excellent day with a group of four and our own instructor with Archery, Axes, and Air Rifles. Our instructors Pip and Nathan were brilliant and personable giving us a relaxed and fun experience whilst giving all the information and enthusiasm we needed. Amazing facilities for the activities with a variety of axes/knives for throwing and lots of air rifle targets, with good competition set ups as well. Toilet facilities and tea/coffee with refreshments were a bonus. Will definitely come again!

It’s the ultimate team sport and promotes teamwork, self-confidence, communication, leadership, fitness, tactical thinking and is just outright great fun. All the equipment is completely mobile so you can come to us or we can bring it to you. Players do not need archery skills of any kind to play, just the want to play with bows and arrows; it’s simple, safe and fun for all ages! Enjoy with friends, family or colleagues at work. Bow Arrow Tag is best played with kids ages 7 year and up, friends, relatives, colleagues and large groups of people. Communicate and work together cohesively as a team to beat your opponent. You can also choose to compete with each other by joining different sides in order to shoot your friends. Where else could you shoot Mum, Dad, your siblings or even your boss with a bow and arrow and get away with it? Our soft, foam tipped arrows are 100% ultra-safe but don’t let one of them hit you or YOU’RE OUT!!
