Stayed at nearby hotel and this was in walking distance. After initial worries when first entering because of miserable staff we proceeded to have a very nice meal here!Enjoyed scallops, duck and profiteroles and great choice of beers. Had a really good evening, and the staff all cheered up too! Will certainly return Merci beaucoup

It is rare to have such a bad experience at a restaurant but it would seem that cutting corners had a lot to do with this one. My husband ordered the salad with smoked duck and gizzards(-which were livers) and the smoked duck was definitely old, beyond anything I would have served: The fat was yellowish and not the glossy white of a fresher slice. The livers were dry and grainy in texture indicating that they had not been prepared at a hot enough temperature and that they had possibly been sitting a while. His main course of veal liver was well prepared but the fingerling potatoes on the side were ice cold. There was also a side serving of something we could not determine in puree form that was totally sour and did not at all go with the rest of the food on the plate.I had a scallop dish which would have been good had it been a simple preparation but instead the four very small portions were served atop a brown, fairly tasteless "goop"with potatoes that were lukewarm. The fried banana with honey syrup was limp and the syrup suffered from far too much star anise and not enough honey. The fried dough that came with it was a total waste of time and space on the plate as much of the tepid grease used to fry it discolored and ruined its taste. The Bergamot ice cream was the one bright spot on the plate and would have been best served solo. Addinginsult to insult the lettuce on my husband's cheese plate was discolored meaning wilted and also should not have been served. Not at all worth the price or a return visit, at least for us.

I was too early and was turned away for 15 minutes (7pm was the opening time). It is well worn but presentable. The tented pavement terrace is standard and the interior crammed with tables making it slightly cramped and with a low ceiling cavernous. I had a Perigordine pizza which was unusual and tasty. The cheese board was a slate with three varieties and a dollop of jam. I just could not get excited by the place. But it was fully acceptable.

We ate here on the first night of our holidays and weren't disappointed. The burger was juicy and the salad fresh. The frites were perfectly cooked and seasoned. You get a HUGE burger for your money - highly recommend!

This is a good local restaurant serving a variety of seafood primarily and other dishes from Alsace. The skate wing was excellent as was the lamb my dinner companion ordered. We both had the same side on the plate: a medley of lightly sauted mixed vegetables, well prepared and a welcome light side dish. Dessert was lovely and rounded out the meal. The food was a good value for the prices.Service here needs to be addressed by management. We were seated and waited upon very well until the second waitress appeared for the shift at which point our waitress had to engage her in a very long and heated conversation of what seemed to be a personal nature. It was the second waitress that finally noticed us trying to flag our waitress and sent her over breaking off the conversation. After this our waitress was finished with us and we were waited on by the second waitress for some unknown reason. When asked for the bill this waitress took so long in bringing it that we had to pay at the bar before leaving.

We stayed at the countryside for a couple of days and we arrived quite late in the afternoon.Restaurant De France as it is called nowadays, has the first place in this town for restaurants, so the choice was made quite easily. And our choice did not let us down! Great food, nice wine and a lovely service in French/English-ish, but the dessert .Spare some room for that if you are visiting Restaurant De France!
