Overall we had a very good meal, we were a group of 4. We came here for a Saturday lunch and chose the 31⬠menu (the cheapest menu offered on weekends), which was delicious. The starter was a soup with an oeuf mollet inside (soft boiled egg), however the egg was hard. 3 out of 4 of the dishes on our table ended having a hard boiled egg in their soup. It's a little surprising for a restaurant of this standard, certainly that a soft boiled egg isn't something too complicated to make. The rest of the meal was perfect; the duck was cooked to perfection and the desert was delicious.Regarding the toilets I was a bit surprised to find that the toilets were mixed and had only one cubicle.Dear âaudejacquesâ,We thank you for your comment which we read very carefully. As the chef of the restaurant, I do apologize for the cooking of the soft boiled eggs. I have also informed all my kitchen staff about it, so that such an incident wonât happen again. We are nevertheless, delighted that, as you said, âthe rest of the meal was perfectâ.As for the toilets, following new regulations, we wish to favor toilets with disabled access. The size of our restaurant only allows us to offer one toilet. This is the reason why we only offer mixed toilets and one cubicle. We continue to listen to our clients comments and we look forward to welcoming youagain in our restaurant. With our best regards.Claudie & Thierry MervilleLa Table des Merville at Castanet Tolosan

An unexpected restaurant in a small village very close to Toulouse.Excellent food, at the same time creative and traditional. The service is friendly and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. There is a nice terrace, very pleasant in the Summer months. The place is often full, which is a very positive thing !Booking is definitely a must.

This was a small restaurant in a relatively busy area of Toulouse. There was only one waiter who was busy running around serving food and taking orders. He was super friendly and spoke a bit of English. We ordered the slow cooked lamb and beef, which were divine. I had a lemon meringue dessert which was to die for. Highly recommended restaurant for great french food.

A small restaurant offering superbly cooked food mostly sourced from local ingredients. The owner who also takes on the food orders was very friendly and welcoming.Nice wine selection. One of the best meals I've had in a long time and very good value for money

We ate here with friends on one of our regular visits to Toulouse. We had reserved a month in advance which was wise as its only a small place and every table was taken. The menu had just changed and there are 5 or 6 choices for starters mains and desserts. We all four of us had something different and each of us were more than happy with our choices. For Toulouse portion sizes were of a decent size and wine prices not too pricey. We had no space for dessert but they looked delicious too.Overall an enjoyable meal in a pleasant ambience. Service was friendly and we weren't delayed even tho there was only one person waiting on. We would return after we've tried a few others. Thank you so much for your comment. Your right about the reservation because we're a little restaurant with 34 places and we're full all the saturday evening. We're happy you have enjoyed ours meals and hope you'll come back to try the desserts. Thank you again and see you soon at Perche Pinte restaurant.

After having lunched twice, I think this place lays more emphasis on the settings and ambiance than on the food. The food is not bad but quite over-rated. I was disappointed for two reasons - 1 Hygiene - there was a waitress working with her hair left open in a frizzy sort of style and its not a great thing when you are handling so many plates of food. 2 - I was a vegetarian and requested them to suggest veggie items so they omitted the meat but did not propose any other ingredient in its place(mushrooms, asparagus). Not so chic for a fancy restaurant that charges mid-range prices. Disclaimer - non-vegetarians have more options but most of my colleagues agreed that the quantity could have been a bit higher.

Average fare - yet expensiveLunch time venue for an ex collogue and friend. nice atmosphere (two tables of more than twenty opposite us). Great service, friendly waiter, good wine list, food disappointing, and expensive. Perhaps this was due to the two large groups being looked after - therefore the quality dropped. I'll give it another go.
