Passing by in France, a friend recommended this place to me. I am usually quite fussy with food but this time I really wasn't disappointed! the food was excellent! fresh food and typically french. 1 waitress and 1 chef which makes it a very friendly restaurant, the waitress was lovely, friendly and warm and the cook came to ask us what we thought about the food. the price was reasonable too.I highly recommend it! this is my new favourite spot in Rennes.

A tiny atmospheric restaurant with a small menu of locally sourced food. It is run by two brothers-one cooks and the other is maitre d and waiter and works extremely hard. Food was freshly prepared and imaginatively cooked. Bill for four people was 137 euros for three courses and wine.Loved the setting (an old house I think) overlooking the town square.Unpretentious and real value for money.

Been for both lunch and dinner - the different menus don't disappoint, lunch was fresh and superbly presented, and great value for money! - sardines, then John Dory with an excellent potato puree and citrus oil, followed by "melt in the mouth" brownies. Yummy. Dinner was just divine: the best tuna tartar I have ever had, followed by beef with carrots served in three ways, and banoffee pie to finish â beautiful. The service is friendly (English spoken), atmosphere zen - bravo to their contemporary take on French cuisine. Will definitely return.

It had been several years we had not returned to La Fontaine Aux Perles and this visit was a delight. We chose the " menu du marché" and we were very pleased. The food was very well presented, amply portioned and very tasty.Service was profesional by a waiter who was very engaged. Overall highly recomended for a gastronomic experience!

October 2017 After 10 days of work we have redid the decoration, implementation of toilet disability standards (floors, ceilings, walls, lighting, decorating the themes of the Breton). It is today Fabien who hold this establishment, with Yann the cook and
We stopped here to break a long cross-country drive and it was WELL worth the small deviation off route.Friendly, fresh and light the restaurant is immediately appealing and comfortable. We had the organic cider which was crisp and the perfect balance of dry acidity and sweet, slightly viscous sweetness. The galettes and then sweet crepes were THE BEST! You can instantly tell that the bio black buckwheat and every other ingredient is lovingly selected and treated with care. Great selection too, wonderful combinations to choose from.By 12.30 it was full. And no wonder. It must be the best for miles around.Definitely recommend.Hello CarynLa Bretonne is actually learning english and it's why she sollicitate your comprehension if she does some mistakeâºï¸âºï¸âºï¸Thank you very much for your very pleasant view about La BretonneWe have appreciate the good time pass with all 4 of us and your are very kind peopleâºï¸We are very happy than you have feel the love we have to choice every of the ingredients to take care of the planet and of the people, it's important for us, because it's a component of our spirit because, we love all of themlocal vegetables from Brittany and limited treatment to have better nutritional healthThank you very much again to have come in the house of La Bretonne, we have a real pleasure to see you again Carynâºï¸Have a good trip on the road and during your holidaysSee you soon Good Bye(Kenavo) La Bretonne
