Bistro De Pimpernel opened its doors back in 1985. Over the years, the restaurant has grown into a true concept in Hoofddorp and the surrounding area, under the careful management of Raymond and Tanja Ruijg. The bistro is an informal French specialities r
We opted for the five course chef's surprise tasting menu. Because we had no idea what we would have, we decided on Champagne Rose which goes well with everything. The meal began with a beautiful carpaccio served over a bed of greens. The next course was a cream of white asparagus soup that was to die for. Such deep flavors and complexity! The fish course was a poached cod that was perfectly prepared. The main dish was a perfectly prepared steak- seared perfectly and rare and very tender. My husband told the waiter that veal sweetbreads were one of his favorites so the chef included a portion with his steak. Very generous. Dessert was homemade ice cream and a mocha/chocolate cake that was outstanding. I normally only appreciate very very chocolate desserts but this was a very nice surprise. All in all a memorable evening. I definitely would highly recommend in fact we are trying to get in again tonight.

The location is great with easy access to a large car park so no hassle to get there by car. We found the ratio price/quality/originality quite good even if I am finding restaurants always too expensive in the Netherlands.Slightly Asian inspired, the menu offers quite a lot of dishes based on fish but meat lovers can also find their specialities (including the burger of course). The service was good with people who are paying attention to their customers and tables.Only the kitchen was potentially a bit slow for serving relatively simple dishes to prepare.Try to be a bit faster and you will surely reach a higher ranking!

A beautiful spot at the lake, that is Westeinder Paviljoen. Within 15 minutes from Schiphol airport at the lake called Westeinderplassen can we cater for any occasion. Whether it is for lunch, snack or dinner. The numerous possibilities offer facilities f
We have eaten here several times. The location is amazing. The food is always very good. However, on this occasion the service was incredibly slow. For example, we waited almost an hour between finishing the starter and receiving the main course. With one more waiter/waitress on duty the service could have been infinitely better. We will return but I just hope the customer service will have improved.

Apparently, we registered our son here. That means he received a kind birthday card, inviting him for a pancake. He even got a (cool) present to go with it. And a birthday serenade. Great experience, great pancakes.

Nice house (little like Martin Berasategui) on lake shore (although no view, at least inside â there is a terrace too). Beautiful interior design. 6 course chefâs menu and a la carte. Everything was good in the menu. Good service, smooth pace â not too quick but not too slow either. Iâve visited many Amsterdam Michelin starred, and so far this is a clear winner.

Food at Het Spoorhuis Uithoorn is characterized by accessible dishes with always a few specialties from the chef. No high-yielding culinary delights but high quality ingredients in understandable and sometimes surprising compositions. The menu offers a va

Very nice place to be, room only for a 20 to 25 people. Informal, very good food and nice wines. Fantastic view over the river Amstel and with nice weather the terrace is an option.
