Things to do in Souillac
Bravo messieurs !!!

We stopped for a drink a couple of days ago and really enjoyed the great location. Yesterday used the bar as a meeting point after a family bike ride from Sarlat. Again great location and really friendly service. We decided to eat and we were slightly disappointed. Croque Monsieur was very dry and failed to hit the mark. The ice creams however were very good.

This is right outside the train station so make this the first stop for a meal. It had a limited menu but every meal is of top quality. Make this a must when in soulliac you won't be dissapointed. Service is second to none and the hosts are brilliant.

We had a great lunch here, at â¬17.00 per head for three courses. We had the assiette de charcuterie and the Rocamadour Quercynois salad to start, followed by Faux filet with French fries, and ended with Tarte Tatin and ice cream. All were delicious, in particular the Tarte Tatin. We also enjoyed a pichet of red wine for â¬6. Would definitely recommend.

Welcome to restaurant terre & mer. please come to taste our plates made with fresh fishes, sea food and fresh terroir products.
Lots of choice, with a la carte and two fixed price menus at 29.90 and 19.90 euro's. We chose the 19.90, which offers six very varied dishes from different areas of France on each course, and seemed to be very popular with the locals. Our food was very well prepared with great flavours, each dish was vey much enjoyed by all members of our group. The choice of wines is reasonable, we found the house red fruity and well rounded. Service was both friendly and helpful, with English spoken if required, and also English menus available too.The restaurant is located on the D820 main road through the town, and close to the A20 running South through the area.Dear Ian M,We are very pleased to read your text ! Thank you very much for your appreciation. We hope to see you again !

This restaurant is immediately opposite the hotel we stayed in (Le Pavillon Saint Martin) and, on a cold, wet December night, it was good only to have walk 10 yards. It was't very busy but, for some odd reason, they put everyone in a long, narrow room to the right - instead of filling the restaurant proper! The whisper-quotient was significant. The menu is short, which is a good start, and there will be something that you will like. There was much information about their suppliers - we chose the magret du canard and it was among the best we have ever had.Excellent local wine list.

We had a family meal here last week during our holiday in Souillac. As mentioned by others, staff friendly and wine excellent. 5 of us ordered the steak from the board menu and 4 of those steaks were beautifully cooked. Unfortunately, the chef appeared to have run out of that steak for the 5th person, as instead of a rare steak I was given a thin, tough, over-cooked piece of leather which had deliberately been folded over to resemble the same thickness as the other steaks. We shall not be going back again.
