We went there after the visit of the Sisteron citadel. The restaurant is nicely located, in a pedestrian street, far from the noises of the cars. That allows the kids to go outside, if they wish to do so. The interior is really nice, with medieval / heroic fantasy decorations that make your mind travel to another world. The kids have books and games at disposal, so they really enjoyed it. In the back of the restaurant there is a small store with heroic fantasy stuff that you can buy. The waitresses were really nice and efficient.

This is a very easy to find restaurant in the heart of Sisteron. The menu has a wide variety of local dishes all reasonably priced (in a town that has many over-priced and pretentious restaurants). There are always several dishes of the day to choose from. A place definitely to return too!

Went there as our preferred choice was full. Food was good and the meat excellent. The only dissapointment for me was the fact that our dish was supposed to be served with a jacket potatoes and without telling us they gave us some chips as they had run out. In my husband case it was fine but not for me as I do not like any fried food. Otherwise very good.

Nice place in a rock or tables outdoor in the old street.
With the help of tripadvisor, my family and I decided to try "crêperie l'Akène" for dinner. It was truly delicious, so much so that we returned a week later. Not only was the food tasty, but the service was impeccably friendly (a husband and wife team)! They were both so kind and welcoming. Though the salty and sweet crêpes are amazing - a must try - our favourite dish was the tartiflette, a season meal (offered in the winter) that is to DIE for. Potatoes, bacon and cheese, what is there not to like! To top it all off,the meals are affordable, great value for the taste and service. We truly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Sisteron!Thank you so much for your message ! Your congratulations encourage us to do always better ! Un grand merci à nos "cousins" québecois pour leur gentillesse et également un grand merci d'avoir apprécié notre région et nos produits ! C'est toujours un plaisir de partager les bons moments ! Bon retour dans votre beau pays !

You do not expect food like this as part of a supermarket, though it seems to be independent of the Super U to which it is adjacent. If anything, the sea-food mixed grill had too much fish.

We tried this restaurant based on TripAdvisor and TopTen Provence. We had the set menu- the lamb in particular was fantastic. However, we did have to wait quite a long time, in spite of the majority of the restaurant eating salad. We did not have it but we also felt the lunch menu was a bit disingenuous- it advertised entree + plat for 15.50 but in fact it was one large main course - a salad, which to be fair was quite big- rather than a separate starter and main. I think some people may have come into the restaurant on the basis of this offer, thinking it would be two courses.

If you are craving pizza while traveling through this pretty little town, be sure to stop in at this resto. Located in the square just in front of the Mairie, on warm summer nights, you can sit outside. The pizza is good (far better than most pizzas in France). The crust is good, the toppings tasty and service just OK. We found the service to fall off once the resto became busy. Other than that, it isn't a bad choice. Doors open at 7:30 in the evening.

For a 32 euro set menu you would expect something exceptional. There was no choice of starter, which was a tasteless vegetable mush. The main course was a choice between pork and cod. There was no cheese course and no choice of dessert, which was uninteresting. Coffee was extra. Perhaps 24 euro would have been a fair price, but not 32. The wine list was also expensive. There is a choices of other dishes, but not on the set menu They have obviously spent money in setting up this business, and may be in too much of a hurry in trying to get it back. L'Araignée Gourmande in Laragne is cheaper and much better quality

We serve good and fresh food. Our products are home cooked, locally produced and bio. We want our guest to share good time with their friends or family.
Asking for a table of 3. The lady 'welcoming us said to us there was only tables of 2 left. So one of ours gave up to eat here. But when we arrived at the back there were at least 6 tables of 2 available. So all of ours could have eaten... When I asked the question to the lady, she argued with no good excuses so we left the place. Otherwise even when we first arrived, we heard the staff arguing between them. These people do not look very happy in their job.

Excellent birthday dinner although very large portions, we both had steak very tender and cooked to perfection, couldn't manage a dessert. Great atmosphere which out of season is rare. Families and couples were dining, the staff were very friendly and we couldn't fault the service. Value for money and we will definitely go back again.
