This is a small place so make a reservation if you know you want lunch or dinner there to insure a place. Décor is cozy and not overly fussy and the wait staff is very welcoming and helpful. There is a daily menu offered at a very reasonable price for lunch but prices are not out of line here for anything. The chef(s) are good and know how to prepare traditional French foods well. Food is seasonal and fresh; every meal I have had here was a pleasure. The only draw-back is that it can get quite noisy for conversation when every table is taken.

This really is the best in local area. On Thursday i had a delicious 3 fish soup that i didn't want to end. My fellow diners were in rapture.

Following other recommendations we visit one evening and were made very welcome. The service was excellent and the chef made full use of the high quality ingredients. The chef deserves wide recognition.

Seating is a bit uncomforatble, decoration typical for environmentGeneral atmosphere : friendly family restaurant, nothing to formalFood was of good quality. The only disappointing was the 'traditional' meat dish, flambé at the table, nice for show/guests but didn't really add extra to the taste.... but overall it was good. But all dishes coming to the table were perfectly cooked, and full of taste.Certainly worth a visit.

The interior of this restaurant is cool and elegant when you step inside thanks to the white table linens and the spacious area. The menu is concise, seasonal and typically French. The wine list is well chosen to pair with the dishes offered although a bit pricey with very few offered by the glass. Service is prompt and correct, it is also included in the final check is often the case in France so there is no calculating percentages at the end. What is impressive about this restaurant is the fine selection of Armagnacs they stock in years dated back to the 1960's making it a must to indulge in a digestif. This is a perfect room for family celebrations and large gatherings as well.

The food in this little hidden restaurant was good. We got to try two different menus and I must say the dishes were well prepared the meat quality was also good. The only thing that did bother me is the atmosphere. It was lunch time and I got the impression there were mainly regular customers that kept eyeballing us. I will still go back there to get dinner.

I expected more. Location good. As starter I choose salad with salmon and small shrimps but wasnât fresh. As second chicken fillet with tagliatelle. The combination of chicken+tagliatelle + sauce wasnât excellent. The chicken fillet was well done cooked. At the end crème brulle was delicious.

We stopped at this hotel on our way to Germany. The hotel is very comfortable and attractive. The living and dining rooms have a wonderful display of the china, pots and figurines made in Sarreguemines. Our room was very spacious and so was the bathroom. There too we could see the artisanal work as the water spout was a lion's head.As we arrived in the afternoon it was too hot to stay in our room. We had a desk fan but it was not sufficient. We chose to have a drink in the relatively cooler living room. We ate on the terrace as the night was perfect. The restaurant labels itself as gastronomic but being so close to Germany the food had already the infuence of German food and the sauces were heavy. Their first menu had nothing special to offer and, as we had their "mise en bouche", and were not impressed, we did not want to try their more expensive menu and decided to order "a la carte". There too we were disappointed as the deer and hare we got had the same heavy salty sauces. The desserts were good (and should be for the price they charge) and their wine list was good too.The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. The gardens are beautiful and this hotel is really worth a visit.
