At midday during the week a business lunch menu is offered including starter, main course and dessert. For lunch and dinner the restaurant has 3 semi-gastronomic menu along with an extensive wine list. Traditional French dishes are prepared from local pro
We were intrigued when we discovered that a new chateau hotel and restaurant had opened just outside of Sepmes, and decided to go there for dinner last night. The restaurant is set in a modern annexe that looks like it has only recently been added onto the original chateau. There are very good views over the grounds of the chateau. The service was very good and efficient, and the food was very good. The amuse-bouche was an interesting assortment of three different offerings. We both chose the pumpkin soup with lobster ravioli as an entrée. I had fish for my main course, and my husband had a Tournedos Rossini. He had a cheese course, and then for dessert I had a pear charlotte and he had a Coeur fondant au Chocolat. Together with an excellent bottle of Saumur Champigny , the total bill came to 115 euros, which we felt was very reasonable.

We were staying at the nearby Parc de Fierbois and decided to visit for lunch. The service and quality of food was excellent, which at the price was really good value. We had the menu of the day which was fantastic and the special burger which my wife rated as the best burger she had ever tasted. Thanks for comming to visit usWe hope to see you again

This restaurant is aimed primarily at lorry drivers, but when we visited there were several families dining, some of whom seemed to be regulars. There was a good choice of salads and cold meats at the starter buffet, and as I had said I was vegetarian the waitress pointed out which salads contained meat or fish. There was a choice of four meats for the main course, with a choice of chips, mash, salad, rice or green beans. The restaurant isn't really geared up for vegetarians, but I had a plate of beans, salad and mashed potato, and with the starter and cheese course I certainly had plenty of protein in the meal.I would heartily recommend this restaurant for a taste of olde-worlde France, especially if you have a good appetite!

Highly recommended. For a 13.50⬠3 course menu (with choices for main course and desert and a quarter carafe of wine) brilliant value for money. But not just that, the quality of the 10 or so items in the help-yourself buffet was exceptionally good. It certainly seemed home produced, often they come from catering packs. We noticed LâInattendu is billed as a Traiteur as well as a restaurant so this would explain it we thought. There must have been over 40 people in the comfortable dining room ranging from local workers, to small parties of presumably local friends just enjoying themselves, to those like us who stopped off en route elsewhere.Efficient and friendly service.Over many years of travelling and living in France, we have seldom come across a restaurant offering a lunchtime menu formula as good as this.Would certainly stop off again.

We had heard that Le Cheval Blanc was under new ownership, so we decide to go there for dinner one Sunday. In fact this restaurant is possibly the only one in Ste Maure open on a Sunday evening. The décor in the restaurant used to be dated and tired, but we were pleasantly surprised to see that the new owners had redecorated it and it was much better. The menu was good, although too traditional for my tastes. I had the Noix de St Jaques, followed by the Pavé de Selle dâAgneau. My husband had Foie Gras followed by the Fillet de Boeuf. We both enjoyed our meals, although I found some of the vegetables to be over-cooked .My main criticism is that the staff were very formal. There was no attempt to engage in conversation or make you feel welcome.

We pulled of the A10 to rest our legs and have lunch and we came across this restaurant. We both had the plat de jour starting with a salad then a main of sole finished of with a strawberry tart. This super tasty meal was washed down with rose wine and all for â¬37 and the place was full. Even dog friendly.

So pleasantly surprised by this place, recommended by our hosts at La Figuer (which can be found on Airbnb and is also amazing!) Great staff, beautiful food - a great night all round.

We enjoyed our evening at Comme Hier. The staff are very welcoming and take the time to come and talk to you.It was a warm evening when we went there for dinner and some of the clients were eating outside. We opted to be inside, which is decorated in an attractive, contemporary way. The choice of menu that evening was limited to a three course meal for 23 euros. There was a choice of two dishes for each course. We both started with a mozzarella and tomato salad. This was fresh and full of flavour. My husband then opted for Fillet of Pork whilst I chose salmon accompanied by flashâfried courgettes. The helpings were generous, but I was very pleased that I found room for the dessert as it was excellent. My passion fruit cheesecake was fabulous!! My husband selected a Chinon wine which was very reasonably priced. The dishes served were fairly simple, but cooked perfectly and really delicious. We will certainly be recommending this little bistro and returning when we have the opportunity.
