Wanted non tourist place, typically French.Found it.Arrived 15 minutes early and were suitably chastised by grim waitress, the only one there. Sat outside under awning full of water next to plastic bucket with dying weeds in. This sat next to a climbing rose 50% of which was dead. . The wall of the dining room was exposed chipboard stuck all round with polystyrene expanding glue. Above us strung under the awning full of water hung a string of light bulbs, most of them blown.A party of 4 came and left straight away ,then 7 came in , sat down and then got up and left. It was strangely entertaining. The remaining customers spoke in hushed tones waiting to be served. I asked for vodka tonic, no vodka, no gin , no tonic., ok water. We both had salt cod starter, strong on salt! Then we had pork. The pork was cooked ok, nearly as nice as I have at home . The accompanying variety of exotic vegetables and flowers were not to my taste, but what do I know.It was expensive, devoid of ambience , shabby and I was sad that I had taken my dear wife hear thinking it might be special.

Restaurant at the castle of Beynac, front of the way wich leads to the Church.2 Terraces: one with a view of a garden with a typical dovecote of Perigord.Regional and generous food.French fries made home and well furnished salads. You can eat correctly for
Walked round the ancient town, needed a drink and popped in this place. Great location, very polite and English speaking staff and dog friendly. I had citron presse, not realising it is exactly that; freshly squeezed lemons! It comes with water and sugar but, wow, it was sooo sour. The cafe is a great place though

The Hotel Is Listed But Not The Restaurant Is A Separate Entity
We were last in the Dordogne 6 years ago when this gem of a restaurant was recommended to us- we found it so good we went twice for dinner. Returning to the area this year, we wanted to recreate our previous experiences & were not disappointed. We had to reserve a table, and found the restaurant full for lunch and dinner. The service was outstanding. A menu was available in English and there were several options - including a reasonable fixed price for two (â¬29) or three (â¬33) courses. There was also a solid wine list and our attentive waiter offered suggestions to our tastes. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, with local ingredients and regional twists. Overall another wonderful dining experience.

Here on holiday we visited the restaurant due to positive reviews on TA. We were not disappointed. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, the food was superb and authentic. The staff were dynamic and welcoming. Overall a thoroughly amazing place. Highly recommended.

Five of us had a wonderful meal at Le Bistrot d'Epicure. It was busy on the Saturday night and glad we had booked. The service was outstanding from beginning to end, and each dish was of the highest calibre, beautifully cooked and presented. They were also more than willing to cook steak for one of us very well done yet the quality of the meat was so good it lost none of its moisture, tenderness and taste. If in the Dordogne region I would strongly recommend having a meal here.

This is the fourth year that we have returned to this wonderful restaurant which is set very close to the Chateau at Castelnaud. We have never been disappointed with the food, drinks or service. I can recommend the Chicken salad and the bruschetta. The waiting staff are friendly and helpful and the food is always fresh and delicious.

Welcome to the restaurant 'La Petite Tonnelle' located in the village of Beynac- Cezenac Dordogne, one of the most beautiful villages of France . In our charming restaurant, you will discover and enjoy a cuisine between tradition and travel and here the c
Visited twice. First time was great, enjoyed the food and service. Second time they had lost our reservation, despite having received a confirmation. Service was then shockingly slow, 45 minutes to clear our table after main courses completed. Lost the will to live and took off without desserts. To conclude, the food here is good but the service seems hit or miss.

Notre restaurant vous accueille de début avril à fin septembre. La boutique de la conserverie est ouverte à l'année.
A friend of mine booked a table over the telephone. We all arrived and the place was deserted. We ended up walking into town to desperately try and secure another table for seven people. While we were finding out if they could accommodate us, another couple were trying to get a table as they too had booked at Lembert but turned up to a closed restaurant. As we have already responded to the opinion of your friend, we are very surprised at your comment. The opening days of our establishment are specified on our showcase, on the google map, on tripadisor, on our facebook page, on the flyers that we distribute .... and despite that you have certified to have reserved a closing day. I see only one explanation: either that is false, or it is a problem of translation ...

Eric Jung and his staff welcomes you every day (without Monday at noon) in a beautiful setting in the middle of the Périgord Noir, 10 minutes away from Sarlat. He proposes a bistro menu at noon and a gastronomic menu in the evening.
Superb location on the terrace overlooking the Chateau and the garden. Service was of the highest standard - the waitress couldn't help us with the English for one item on the menu that we didn't know, but the manageress soon arrived to put that right. Much appreciated. The food was outstanding - fine dining 3 course lunch for just 19 euros. We will certainly return.

we arrived for lunch a tad late but that was no problem - seated alongside the main road but that caused no problems.one fixe menu at â¬20 was spectacularly good value - some paté de foie gras - which would have cost over £15 in any UK restaurant was followed by excellent duck breast and then a lovely home made ice cream, superb value for money. Whole family of 4 ate for under â¬80 and all said hiw good it was, recommended,Bonjour, vous vous trompez de restaurant , nous n'avons pas de terrasse en bord de route et n'avons pas de menu a 20 euros ...Cordialement la directionLa terrasse des châteaux
