We took the surprise menu. The food was beautifully presented and tasted ok.The staff was friendly. However the time between 2 courses was a bit long and at the end, the staff was already preparing the room for breakfast the day after, which made me feel very unwanted. A sad ending of an otherwise good night

Went to this small restaurant on the recommendation of our host. The haddock starter was excellent and my wife and I both had top quality steaks within the set menu. Service was pleasant and unobtrusive. The house wine was perfectly acceptable. Well worth a visit.

We arrived in Sant Vallery late and very hungry coming straight from work on a Thursday night, thanks to the M25. Few places still open but met with a polite no. Le Jardin thanks for cooking late and was perfect. We returned for a drink the following two nights would recommend Thanks very much for your comments. We will be happy to receive you another time. Have a good day

We went here on a rainy, horrible evening after a long drive. It was exactly what we needed. The best meal I had on the holiday. Beautiful oysters, amazing mackerel, tender bass. Sadly didn't have time to sample the desserts. The wine was good, the service was ace and the atmosphere was nice. I would definitely return, especially on a sunnier day.

So pleased we went here. We pre-booked a table as we had a dog and they were happy to accommodate. They found us a table where the dog didn't bother anyone and where we could relax. Very smart decor. Extremely charming and friendly staff. They manage to pull off being traditionally French and bit modern at the same time. The Saturday menu is fixed and we had a problem as it was steak and one of our party didn't eat beef. No problem as they knew in advance and the chef prepared an amazing fish dish for us instead. Both the fish and steak were fantastic. A really good place to go in St.Valery.

A small menu (look at the blackboard outside to see if you like what they have that day beforehand) but the quality of the food and service was excellent. We would definitely return.

The restaurant is located at the top of the Courtgain, former neighborhood of sailors, in the old vegetable gardens. The restaurant has a room decoration treated, shades of white and black, paintings of the designer of the hotelCreated in 2009, in the near
As the reviews have said this is an excellent dining experience that is based on local products; interesting and delicious. My only caveat is that the servers were perfunctory; did their job. However you could put the entire staff together and not be able to make a single smile nor did they register any enthusiasm about the excellent food they were serving. They could have added substantially to an otherwise enjoyable dining experience.Thank you for your return on tripadvisor. I am personally delighted that our cuisine you rated as excellent you liked. I also take your remark about service seriously and will try to relay the information to the team. Thank you and see you soon at the Table des Corderies.

We didn't think we were hungry when we sat down but the smells from the kitchen were so lovely that we ended up having a full meal! The Big Max (at least I think that's what it was called) was delicious and I only just managed (at least that's what I told my husband) to finish with a pancake liberally sprinkled with calvados and set on fire (!) The service was brilliant and it was so reasonably priced. The cider it serves seems to have a very good reputation too.

A warm and cosy atmosphere, charming, relax and yet professional welcoming, wonderful food, great wines, and lots of flexibility like serving one portion of dishes supposed to be for two... My mum and I went three times in just a week, just to indicate how much we loved it. The "table d'hôtes" format worked well each time... Loved both the fish and the meat dishes. Our only regret, we both don't eat a lot and couldn't try the deserts... I believe, one of the very best tables in St Valéry. We will definitely go back next time we stay nearby.

This place is just special if you like cheese, cold meats and wine. Basically they do platters of mixed cheese, cold meats and a glass of wine. The emphasis changes frequently. Weâve been several times and itâs always interesting. The guys who run it take it really seriously, each platter is made before your eyes and carefully explained either in English or French. The atmosphere is almost reverential to the customers, food and wine. All the cheeses, meat and wine are for sale at reasonable price.Very like a library inside (only of food and wine) and there are tables outside but itâs a bit busy.Dog friendly inside.Really recommended but you need to like this sort of food and like your prejudices challenged!
