Things to do in Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer
This is a recommendation of the camp site, on which the restaurant resides. We came across this camp site by chance as the others in the area were crowded with kids and lots of people. We really enjoyed this little lovely spot. The hosts did everything to help us and make the stay nice. Can certainly be recommended.

Our Omaha Beach tour group of about 16 people stopped here for a prearranged lunch. We had preordered our meals when we booked the tour (Bayeaux Tours - outstanding!), with a choice of chicken or fish. The chicken and au gratin potatoes were very good, as was the service. All the workers spoke a little English, and that, combined with the writer's 20 words of French, was more than enough for the purpose.Of course, the highlight is the stunning views of Omaha Beach. It almost seems wrong to sit there and enjoy lunch against a backdrop where so many brave people perished.Strongly recommended; this is the place for lunch when you're visiting Omaha and associated sites.

Having visited this restaurant on our 2012 holiday at Vierville-sur-Mer, we decided to return this year even though we were holidaying further away in Port-en-Bessin. We had enjoyed the lunch time buffet last year and considered it very good value for money. On our first lunch time visit this year, we discovered that it was extremely busy and thought that we might not get a table. We were absolutely amazed that the owner remembered us from last year (probably due to my poor French) and told us that she would have a table prepared for us as soon as she could. Once again, the buffet was excellent value.Knowing that the restaurant wasn't open on Mondays, our last visit was Sunday lunch time, 2 days before our return to Calais and also Bastille Day. There was no buffet that day, so we ate a la carte. We told the young waitress, (the owner's daughter perhaps?), that this would be our final visit and that we had enjoyed returning this year. When we paid our bill, we were overwhelmed by the affection shown to us by the owner. It was as if we had been life long friends, hugs and kisses all round. If we ever return to this part of Normandy, we will certainly re-visit this restaurant and say "bonjour" to this kind young lady, and "merci pour votre gentillesse".
If you take the first street access to Omaha beach...at the end of the road on the left there is a restaurant Hotel du Casino, look for a small sign that says Frites....walk on the boardwalk like you are going down onto the beach and you will find a trailer food truck with the best Kebab and french fries! We discovered on our way to the beach - great meal less than 10 euros!

This restaurant is on the main road, but please donât let that fact put you off from eating here. The food is delicious. Beautifully presented, exquisite taste, and certainly worth every euro spent. The Oysters, and whelks were just divine; the desserts were heavenly and all served with smiles. We went twice in 4 days, and it was packed, with local French, which is always a good sign. You must book otherwise you will not get a table. We will certainly return.

Hospitality exceptional from walking in through the front door. Very friendly home feeling, despite being only a 20ish cover restaurant. We had a starter and main course - no room for a pudding. Half a bottle of wine and a house cocktail came to just over E50. Well worth a visit - you won't go home hungry from here.Ample car parking on the the Market Square. Going again tomorrow!

We had lunch here with our tour guide, Dale Booth, and it was fine with a broad selection. The restaurant was quite crowded but service was excellent and we were served fairly quickly. Honestly, I don't remember what we had but the food was tasty and there were no complaints. Worth making a reservation if you are going during a busy season - we might not have gotten in without one.

L'Omaha Restaurant is conveniently located in the center of Omaha Beach, between the American Cemetery and the Pointe du Hoc. Covered terrace, sea view, garden. Fish, grilled meat etc ..., brasserie, snack. Shop: books, calvados, Pommeau etc ... Non stop
We stayed just down the road and this place was heaving every lunch time with big queues waiting to get in!We went one evening and it was not too busy and the food and service was very good, and it was reasonably priced. If you go in the evening go early as they were refusing people after about 8.15 as they close for food at 9ish?Well worth a try

this is a B&B also, but a shame not to list the restaurant on its own as it si excellent!
Our tour guide recommended this place to us and we were glad she did. Situated just behind Omaha beach it could be easily missed. Classic French farmhouse style eatery with simple, well sourced and well cooked food. Staff we friendly and service was efficient. It must be a good place to eat as Monacan royalty dined at the same time as us, that said I'm expecting to see a review from Prince Albert mentioning he saw four blokes from Southampton on this site soon!
