Having ate at this restaurant three time, the last time was it's last chance. I found the quality of the food poor, and the preparation a mixed bag. The presentation was acceptable, but the taste of all three meals I had do not match up to more than a frozen food meal. With all the quality produce in the area, this doesn't have a clue on how to choose and prepare constantly good food. I can not recommend it, and would avoid it. Plenty of better choices in the area.

We stopped at random in this little bar-restaurant with a group of friends ( we were 8 altogether) to have a quick lunch.Instead we had a very good lunch ,homemade cooking with a selection of products from the area.Very tasty and generous! At the menu, there was a mouthwatering fricassée de langoustines et saint Jacques but it required some waiting. As we had an appointment ,we came back in the evening and didn't regret it !François, the cook, prepares very tasty and generous dishes and is very welcoming as well as the waitress.Don't hesitate to pay them a visit if you are in the neighborhood.

Restaurant situé juste en face des halles du marché... Nous vous proposons une cuisine simple élaborée sur place avec des produits frais...
The place is great, close by The Halles. Lots of locals from Biarritz.A glass of wine is around 4 euros and best is to order tapas, and especially the foie gras tapas (2⬠/ tapas).FYI, to order, you need to GO to the counter. There is no service at the tableBonjour.. Désolé mais cet avis ne nous est, de toute évidence, pas destiné.. Cordialement le bistro des halles à St amand montrond....

We only popped into the Paddock for a drink, so can't comment on the quality of the food.Once you get past the awful concept of this being an "Irish pub", which thank goodness it isn't, it is a good bar. The style and layout is good, the service is good and they have a couple of tellies to watch football. My only complaint is re the beer on tap. By all means have Bud and some arty Belgian lagers if you must, but don't forget your roots. Every bar should have a bog-standard beer and in France it should be Pelforth or similar. Not everyone wants designer beers. And re my comment about pseudo Irish bars. Why on earth do they have them outside of Ireland? Unless you go full out for the overpriced Guinness, and the tacky shamrock and begorrah crap it is rather pointless. Visitors to France want to experience a traditional French bar, so stick to what you know.

Just excellent. Friendly and competent service. Requested vegetarian food in advance, as it's rarely something French restaurants in the countryside do everyday, and we're treated to an astonishingly good meal. Velouté starter with melon and pastries, egg terrine main course with potato galette and fresh salad. They even made an anniversary cake as dessert. Topped off with champagne, an evening to remember. (Live music was French take on classic jazz, and VERY loud. It seemed to go down well with the rest of the clientele.

The restaurant recently changed ownership and the quality is still great. The restaurant is situated next to the canal which ensures great views over the bridge and the water. The terrace is great, but can be quite warm during summer, so dining late is preferred on warmer days.

An ideal restaurant situated opposite the central square car park. The dining room is very discreet and comfortable with plenty of space between tables providing sophisticated tableware. Our 12.50 ⬠package was excellent value, with a main, dessert and coffee. The service was quick and pleasant, and food quality well up to the standards we have come to expect in provincial France.

Le Bec Salé transforms into a gourmet Grocery Store and Wine cellar. Opening its lunch area and proposing food menus starting from ⬠9.90. We work with a creator of ready made fresh and seasonal dishes, presented in glass jars, either to eat on the spot o
We visited the Abbey of Noirlac, and the restaurant 'Auberge de l'Abbye de Noirlac' near the abbey didn't accept people without reservation. We found in the neighbourhood, in Saint-Amand-Montrond, a little restaurant where you can eat fresh products 'fait maison'. The owner Stéphane and the personnel are very gentle and the price-quality is very good. I can recommand this to everybody in stead of the more expensive 'Auberge' near the abbey.

There are very few decent restaurants in the St Amand region, so it was a pleasure to discover the Pont dâY in the bizarrely named Le Pondy. Because itâs good, itâs best to book beforehand if you can, especially if you plan to sit outside. The house cocktail is a delicious curacao and crémant based concoction, which leads you into one of the three main menu selections - 20.50, 24.50 and 34.50. All offer cheese as well as the three main courses and a lovely, little amuse-bouche to start off with.My wife had the basic 20.50 menu but it was super, especially the chicken and fresh pineapple skewers in vanilla sauce. I had the 34.50, tempted by the delicious foie gras and a succulent beef filet. The wine list is super and varied, and includes a house wine (vin de table) for an impressive 11.50, but even the Beaujolais villages and Cotes du Rhone cost less than 20â¬.Service was friendly and prompt, and if you find yourself in the area Iâd recommend it. Closed from 24 December to 31 January as well as Sunday and Monday - check their website.

We've been here several times, always hoping for the best because of the exceptional location. The food is good, well presented, but not gastronomique, which makes me wonder why it is noted in the Michelin Guide. The owner is extremely friendly and attentive. the Filet de Boeuf was average. My wife's Bar (fish) was better. The selection of cheeses was monotonous & not as good as previous visits.
