We were recommended to eat here and were not disappointed. We had the foie gras to start, mains of veal with risotto and chocolate pud with oozy chocolate sauce and redcurrant meringue tart to follow. Brilliant service with a smile from all the staff, a little dish of rillettes du porc as a taster dish whilst we waited.... French dining at a very high level. Highly recommended.

La Guinguette de Lulu Parc on a summer day is buzzing with people, consuming grill food, brought by smiling staff. We were there for lunch, thus missing out on the guinguette music and dancing in the evening. Really good food.

We enjoyed the warm almost familial service in this beautiful restaurant that is well worth the walk away from the main tourist areas of Tours. The indoor garden environment, the friendliness of the staff and the quality and freshness of the carefully prepared food all make it a destination worth seeking out. We would definitely return.

What a warm inviting creperie! Crepes were quintessential French. Had a variety of sweet and savory, gluten free and vegetarian options. They have lovely salads, in season fresh juices, and delicious coffee. The owner and his lovely sister both speak English and are very friendly.

I can honestly say that the lunch we were treated to here, was amazing. Like others have said the location made me a bit quizzical - just a bit strange next to a very busy road, but once inside it was delightful. The level of service hit the right balance and every course ( I think there were 9) was just beautiful. Also the selection of wines - perfectly complimented the courses. The cheese board was of course exceptional, and it was fantastic to be guided through it. This is not the type of restaurant to go into for a quick bite, ( though they do do an express menu, if my mind serves me correctly). Beautiful in every respect and staff who took a delight in their work. This is a restaurant I would return to in a heartbeat.

This is a restaurant that has a very limited menu and it does not follow the style of food normally seen in French Cuisine. There were none of the French standard type dishes on the menu the night we were there but being adventurous with our food (and appreciating inventiveness and quality) my wife and I were very happy. It makes great use of local produce and of course dispenses the local wines. We both had the marinated sardines, tiny strips of fish with an interesting dressing. Then my wife what on the face of it would be a traditional sausage dish as her main course but it was cut into chunks, sauced and and served with an interesting mix of vegetables and asparagus. I had baked cod with a delicious top crust of a form of pate. The fish was beautifully cooked and resting on a bed green vegetables - broad beans featuring prominently, with occasional little chunks of softly poached rhubarb. It really worked. We weren't tempted by the desserts though - we had to leave relatively early to meet up with some friends. Service was great. There is a big wine list but no half bottles. We had wines by the glass - our hostess chose the wines to match the food. Sitting outside on the terrace was lovely and there were blankets to keep us warm on what was a relatively cool night. Nice evening. Good value for a high quality eating experience.

Quite hard to find but we were lucky to be recommended by chateau de Jallanges and it did not disappoint. Lovely setting. Ample parking and the food was amazing. The prix fixe menu was small but beautifully formed with good choice. We loved the vegetable crumble with tomato ice cream. Yes it sounds a bit odd but had to be tasted to be believed. Never had anything like it. Similarly the lamb with figs and spices. Morrocan flavours soo good. Would love to have tried desserts but no room xx. Wine was reasonably priced for a restaurant of this standard. A great lunchtime treat xx we hope to return

We visited this restaurant after finishing lunch at La Roche Le Roy at 3pm.Nice cool structure and entrance, welcoming staff and good wine selection. We tried the squid, pigeon and prawns/langoustine and soufflé. Overall, the squid was the best. The other dishes were very good but not much of the wow factor. On this vacation, we ate at 9 Michelin restaurants in Tours and Paris.Between the above 2 restaurants in Tours, we still prefer La Roche.

We came across this restaurant by chance and were delighted. Absolutely charming decor: a little quirky but not trying too hard, tables set not too close but close enough to give a pleasant ambience. We were greeted and made so welcome. The food was delicious; not too much choice but enough to be intrigued, the lamb was superb and the chocolate dessert was out of this world! Lovely wines too at a reasonable price - would definitely revisit.
