Discovered La Citronelle by chance after persuading my family against the local 'transport cafe' for dinner. What a wonderful find, the food was absolutely exquisite, service impeccable and the atmosphere absolutely delightful. The British owner and chef really impressed, we ate early and by the time we were leaving it was full. Great children's menu as well as an a la carte menu that cannot be faulted. Would highly recommend.

This is a small restaurant opposite the Rev'Hotel in Riberac - there is a cold self service buffet for your premier plat (starter) and an excellent choice of main dishes followed by another self service buffet for dessert. Some main courses will be cooked on a charcoal grill within the restaurant itself. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal - others must do the same as it was quite busy for a mid-week table - if you are in the area do give it a try - you will not be disappointed.

We ate here as my dad lives up the road and the place was new and he had tried it - liked it and recommended it to us. We love food so booked up and were not disappointed at all. It was truly delicious. Our French is pretty poor but the lady serving was so helpful.Merci beaucoup, nous serons ravie de vous accueillir une prochaine fois

Only stopped for coffee but the meals going by looked good, so we had a late lunch. Glad we did as it was all ok, with good service and reasonable prices. Basic French cafe fare.

Pizzeria and traditional restaurant open all year. Beautiful interior room and beautiful terrace open from April to October. Heartwarming welcome. Family atmosphere. Also suitable for large tables. Use of many biological products. Pizzas and dishes for ve
The pizzas were OK, though not Italian quality. Mine was caked in cheese, American-style, but the base was thin and quite crispy, if a little under-seasoned. There didn't seem to be many decent restaurants in Riberac, so I suppose it's a safe, if underwhelming choice.

Jean Christophe's recently renovated bar was the perfect pause on a true winter's night. Sparkling lights draw you in to the warm and cosy interior. JC will provide you with a fantastic 'vin chaud' not too sweet, not too tepid, but perfect, comme les Alsaciennes. There is no better way to pass an hour or two of conviviality amongst friends. Not to be missed if you're in Riberac.

This restaurant is where the french business people have a very good reasonably priced lunch. So you need to book to get a table.Proper fresh food not 'frozen'.It is opposite La Poste with good parking around.Go here because you like good food and french style service. It is not a 'fast food restaurant'. GREAT

I ate at this restaurant a few times a few years ago, when it had another name (La Terasse) and before the current management and most recent redecoration. Have to say it's much improved - gone is the old stuffy dark wood and brown decor, it's now bright and airy with whitewashed walls, pale wood tables, nice lighting, and a few nice bits of art on the walls. The menu is short and not very veggie-friendly (there's nothing for us on the starter list at all, and the only main course option is the omelette with ceps, the salad buffet mentioned in other reviews appears now to be a lunchtime only thing). However, the omelette was pretty good. Feedback on the steak was mixed - one reported to be fine, the other tough, and both were cooked a little more than had been asked for. Highlight of my meal was the dessert - moelleux au chocolat with vanilla ice cream and a red fruits sauce, it was quite possibly the best I've ever been served. The creme brulee also drew praise. We shared a bottle of the cheaper Rose on the wine list and it was perfectly acceptable. Bill was reasonable. Service was good.

This is the best restaurant in Riberac and the surrounding area!!!Had the set lunch, always two choices of starter, main and dessert We had had one hot goat cheese salad, one salad Perigourdine, Main one white fish in a delicate sauce and one chicken wrapped in Parma ham and a light cream sauce, the vegetables are delicate and I think itâs a secret on how the chef Alexis cooks his food!!Dessert was either a Elton Mess type or cheeseThe food here is NOT TOO BE MISSED WETHER ITS LUNCH OR EVENING MEAL Lunch is also very good value for money, the restaurant is always welcoming and beautifully laid out In the summer you can eat either in the courtyard or inside Itâs a MUST

Le Chabrot is a place where we cook only fresh and principaly local food. A Small Menu à la Carte, Set menu and suggestions of the day. It's a little restaurant where it's better to book before.
We hadnât been here since 2015 when we had a super meal with our family. We decided to reserve a table for tonight, for the two of us. We were pleased to get a table inside as it was so warm outside tonight! The same lady from a few years back is there, Iâm sure she is the owner. There is a small menu, all sounds beautiful so we chose the duck consommé, a house speciality, so clean and tasty, my husband had the black pudding starter, which was served with a gorgeous fresh salad and artichoke quenelles with various little purées, I havenât seen a more clean plate at the end before! he loved it!!! We had beautifully cooked king prawns with rice and vegetables and a lovely creamy sauce as well as a steak tartar with some horseradish through it as well as some little chopped gherkins and fabulous French fries to accompany it, truly sensational. We had been given a small pot of chilled melon soup as an amuse Bouche at the start of the meal which was superb! We rounded our meal off with coffee and real mint leaf infusion. Honestly just a superb meal!!! Thanks a lot for your advice, it was a pleasure to welcome you. See you a next time at le chabrot. Cheers. Aurore
