Needed a fast snack and this place was the only choice in the area. Nice spot with a few tables and very pleasant staff. The burger was tasty but nothing special. Fresh ingredients, nice bun but the patty was very typical and the sauce very familiar.

Where to start? Everything from the presentation to the service was absolutely fantastic. What a find! A full delicious 3 course meal for only €17.00. The choice isn't that big but the dishes we had were mastered. The restaurant is run by a family which are all friendly and amiable. My mother's beef was slightly undercooked for her liking (of which is unusual anyway). The response was great, immediately they took it away and cooked it perfectly. The staff also seemed genuinely concerned about the meal. Although they do not speak much English (I didn't really expect since we're in France) but overcoming the language barrier was quite easy as the staff was extremely friendly and patient. As far as the food is concerned it was presented beautifully and tasted great. If you are in pontic or the surrounding area, you NEED to come here!!

This place is worth going to for the view alone! The staff are very friendly and there is a great selection of crepes including some very traditional and local ones. The cider is very nice too. We arrived late for lunch, but they kindly accommodated us. Dessert crepes and ice creams are beaut too.

The Retz: fresh, original cuisine, sauces falling, desserts to top ONLY seafood reservation.
We were unable to get into our first choice restaurant, but they recommended this place. Everywhere was very busy as it was a bank holiday weekend. The set menu was a reasonable price, and the food we had was good, if not exceptional. Both the duck and the steak we had for main course were overcooked, despite us asking for pink, and medium (which is normally rare in France). This may be because they are used to British tourists demanding their food incinerated but it was disappointing when they had asked us how we wanted the food cooked. the service was a bit slow but they were very busy so fair enough.Total cost for a 3 course meal with house wine was 74 Euros which is not bad for the area.

We had been travelling all day and didn't know where to eat on a rainy night. We got lucky. The food was fresh and perfectly cooked, the staff were friendly and quick off the mark. Went to bed happy.

Dans un cadre chaleureux, au coin d'une cheminée, venez déguster une cuisine simple et savoureuse préparée devant vous au feu de bois. Le Vème vous accueil dans une ambiance conviviale et familiale...
We went there for a (kidless) date and it was truly enjoyable. The owner, Greg, is very passionnate about both food and wine. The dishes are super fresh, always with a twist that makes them even better. The wine list is good with enough options for everyone and Greg can help you match food & wine which is really enjoyable. The location is a bit off the center of Pornic but worth the little drive. Don't pay attention to the outside of the venue. The food is 100 times better. Go there and enjoy a friendly but yummy meal!

Probably the best crêpes I've ever had! Good thing we arrived early just after the opening, because in a few minutes, the restaurant was already full. No wonder why. The place is really friendly, I loved the decoration: simple, clear, and modern. The menu is short (already a good sign:)), and they also serve English pancakes (salty ans sweet ones)! The waiters were really nice, the crêpes was made out of fresh ingredients, it was crunchy, hmmm. Even the dough had an nice buttery taste! I am so glad that we chose this restaurant, it was a perfect Sunday lunch, I would definitely go back just for their crêpes. And I will! :) Absolutely, 100% recommend it!

Simple, cold salad starters of prawns and chicken and of tomatoes tartare with sardines rillettes. Main of scallop brochettes with beurre blanc sautéed new potatoes and buttered vegetables. Main was perfectly cooked sweet scallops bathed in the most delicious buttery sauce with well seasoned and equally buttery vegetables. Two glasses of white wine recommended by the lovely proprietor who was welcoming and friendly. Just sorry we had to leave. Perfect for a fun boozy lunch.

Tucked in a street just back from the quai is this charming restaurant. The interior is delightful and there is seating outside for the warmer weather. Their market menu is superb, everything is fresh and very flavoursome. The wine selection is also good. The staff are excellent in their knowledge of products and also speak English. This little gem is a must, so reserve your table and wait to be thrilled by the chef.
