Part Of The Hotel Of Same Name But Is Better Known As A Restaurant Only. Needs To Be Listed Separately
During our seminar in Hotel Beau Rivage we had nice dinners. Either on the large terrace or in the restaurant. Both offering a stunning view on the Rhône River. We really enjoyed Lyonnais gourmet cuisine. Unbeatable poached farm egg, pike quenelles, Bresse poultry, hare a la Royale, local cheese, thin apple tart accompanied by Condrieu, Saint Joseph and Côte Rôtie wines. Not to be missed.

Malleval is reached up a narrow winding road and care should be taken. Le Peche du Pilat sits in the centre of the village. The restaurant has a shady terrace, which is delightful when there aren't smokers around.Menus start at â¬15.50 and â¬26.50 gets you a first class meal. The food is prepared by a chef with talent, delicious and beautifully presented. On the â¬26.50 menu we got an ambushed bouche of puréed beetroot mixed with smoked salmon which as excellent. Our starters were foie gras (beautiful) and a tartare de thin presented with passion fruit and a vodka gel. We had the magret de canard as mains - perfectly cooked, with a lovely mix of vegetables and potatoes. Dessert was a chocolate praline. This is an excellent restaurant, well worth a vat.

A refaire !

We were staying nearby and walked into Pelussin to find this the only eating place open. Staff very accommodating during a busy lunch service full of locals. Good value menu du jour. Also spent a very pleasant Sunday lunchtime (market in the square outside the café) here having a few drinks in the sun - exceptional value! No lunchtime food on Sundays.

We had the great pleasure to have lunch at l'Escale. We arrived quite early and the place was still empty. In no time all the tables were occupied. The staff were very friendly, specially Vincent, who arranged to get a special wine included in our menu. We got an excellent and fresh three course menu, a glass of wine and a cup of coffee for an unheard of price of 13,50â¬. For this price the quality of the ingredients and the dish was spectacular. We got the chance to chat a little bit with the chef who is a larger than life kind of woman. This restaurant truly made our day.

This is a really nice restaurant with a small menu of freshly cooked food. Maitre d' lovely. Happy to put up with my faltering French even though he speaks English fluently. Keen to recommend items from the menu and to give extra details. If you are in Pelussin definitely put it on your list to visit for lunch tea or dinner (cakes looked very tasty too)

Very charming small place, you will be feeling very welcomed by the owner. 3 or 4 course menuâs mostly made from local area ingredients.Price for 3 course menu 19 euro , simple food but very tasteful dishes and all very well prepared Especially the cuisse de Canard (Duck legs) we had was excellent prepared crunchy outside and meat almost falling from the bones very tasteful, young potatoes and some vegetables completed the dishDesserts delicious , mostly prepared with fresh fruits from the Pilat area No need to say we ate several times over here.It is a very small restaurant with a nice atmosphere, typical a place you would passby without having the idea you coul eat here very well. Conclusion: Good food, attractive priced (price/value = excellent) with very friendly service donât miss this restaurant if you are in this area.
