As this TripAdvisor account is for the family, we enter this top recommendation on behalf of my 8 year old daughter. She was on a ski weekend with a friend and her parents and had lunch here. She had the "plat du jours" which was the most delicious Boeuf bourguignon she has ever had - "the meat melted in her mouth"...She recommends the crumble for dessert, but she also noticed that you should reserve one when you arrive as they are quickly sold out!!She likes and enjoy food, but rare is it that she to this extent remembers and talks about a meal. Well done! We - the rest of the family - will certainly go as well. Finally, remember to bring cash as they don't take cards! Apparently our friends had forgotten -they were allowed to do a bank transfer.

We were on our way to Burgundy and had just crossed over the border into France when we decided to stop at this fabulous restaurant for lunch. What a pleasant surprise. The decor was bright, modern and inviting to guests who were sitting down for lunch. This place was also very busy for a Friday afternoon, which means that the locals of the area in-tune with the menu. Our lunch meals were outstanding, we had the salmon as the started followed up with the white wish, which was perfectly cooked with a nice sauce. Our wine selection was, a recently added Pinot Noir of the region which complimented the meal. Overall great experience, if you are ever looking for a great place to eat while in transit this is definitively a place to try out.

We loved the menu ; the ambiance and the deserts were to die for. But why oh why would you Serac ; allow your waitress (the elder waitress ) to be so disinterested ; bordering on rude and keep customers waiting to pay in a very obvious way.Shame on you ; wondering if this was pure Racism?

Cuisine traditionnelle, au cÅur authentique, de saison. Une pincée d'originalité. Le tout dans un environnement cosy, soigné, chaleureux.
We found this place via trip advisor and were not disappointed.Service staff were friendly, fast and attentive. We ordered 3 set menus - Our entrees were a mix of seafood, fois gras which we cleared very quickly. for main courses, I had seafood consisting of prawns, fish, scallops with sauce, my dinner companions had veal liver. The portions were plentiful and very tasty. Unfortunately by then we were too full for the deserts. The price was reasonable and we really recommend this place

This was our 2nd visit to L'Edelweiss, the last was about 6 years ago; and it was great to experience the same lovely homecooked traditional savoyarde food.We took our friends and we all had the set 3 course menu for â¬26 and each and every one was totally delighted with all our food. The entrecote steaks were notably juicy, melt in the mouth yumminess. And I didn't even have one, I had the gorgeous tender chicken wrapped in ham in a mushroom sauce, it was lovely. The potatoes were just beautiful, I could have eaten it all again. That sounds like the portion sizes were inadequate, far from it, all 3 courses were just perfect. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was we were a tad cramped, and we really didn't have time to sit, chat and have a digestif as our table was booked after us and the next lot of folk were standing behind us. A tad awkward. We will go back, the staff are so nice and friendly, and I'm so pleased that they are still there, after our first visit 6 years ago. I'd probably book a table if you go, it is small and very popular.

You need to book as this place is very popular. We got in on the third attempt an d it was worth it. The atmosphere envelopes you as you walk in and the open pit barbecue is manned the proprietor who cooks all the steaks, which are excellent. The cheese dishes, fondue etc. are very good too. Service is friendly and attentive, though when busy it's a touch slow, which is understandable. Recommended!

What a fabulous find this little hotel restaurant is!!! Stayed with friends for a long weekend. The rooms are comfortable clean and beautifully decorated. The husband and wife owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating, from booking our restaurants to wine recommendations and general chit chat. The food is wonderful and very well priced for the quality and service! The cheese trolley and hot chocolate are not to be missed! We canât wait to head back again next year. Hello,Thank you so much Mrs Jane for your wonderful opinion about our hotel and restaurant. It was a real pleasure to host you and your friends and have a nice moment with you.King Regards.

We were two couples and loved our visit to this small restaurant. We had the 60 euro "surprise"menu and were happy with every dish. The first one, a medley of fresh tomato preparations, was excellent. The smoked trout with oxalis herb also wonderful. The filet of beef quite tasty.perhaps lacking a tiny bit of tenderness. For 60 euros it is good value. We'll be back for the pigeon dish on the menu that sounded good. The meal began with a nice plate of amuse-bouches and ended with some mignardises. The wine list is very fine and the patronne can advise you gladly.

You must go there, it is fabulous! I have been visiting this restaurant twice a year for about 17 years. The food is exquisite. 7 chefs in the kitchen, very creative, excellent value for money. Great service also. I have stayed overnight once at the hotel. Itâs also very nice, modern rooms, beautiful swimming pool.

Une vue imprenable sur le Mont Blanc et une cuisine entièrement faite Maison. Spécialités savoyards
This excellent place was recommended to us by the receptionist at our hotel. Set in a quiet spot in the pretty town of Combloux it has a magnificent vista of mountains from its terrace including Mont Blanc which revealed itself as we dined. It is next to a bio ecological swimming lake which gives the impression of being a green lake. The food is not the cheapest but it is of good quality and a bit different with oriental tendencies. We had farm chicken breast pieces in a bowl with soy and chilli rice, courgettes, cooked onions, fennel. It was a very tasty salad but did cost 23 â¬. Also on the menu was a burger, tuna, boiled cod with ratatouille and seafood linguine. All around â¬20 or more. Desserts were â¬9 which seemed steep but my red fruit with cream and ice cream was good as was my wifeâs lemon tart. The owner was in close attendance and the single waitress was friendly and helpful speaking reasonable English. The place was doing good business for a Tuesday evening. Our bill including glass of wine, beer and two coffees was â¬76 incl service which was a reasonable price to pay for pleasant food in a fabulous location.
