If you like wasps and bad jazz then this is the place for you. The owner insists on torturing his guests with his Trombone every time we have been here, completely failing to understand that when you go to a restaurant you go to catch up with friends and family which you cant do when all conversation has to stop so he can massage his ego. Staff are excellent, food is OK, location is fine so long as it does not rain, as you eat outside

Beautiful setting, exquisite food, excellent service and just a wonderful experience all round. I just love how seasonal the menu is, based on what's available on the day at the market or in the restaurant garden. Definitely a cut-above most of our other local restaurants.

A wonderfully situated restaurant on the banks of l'Aveyron. Fantastic french food cooked with flair.
Le Moulin de Varen is now in its third year with the new owners and is excellent. We enjoyed it from the start but there have been steady, small changes that have improved things further and it is now purring along!. Fish is a speciality with some excellent dishes. The St Jacques are always delicious. There is always a veggie option for starter and main. The wines are predominantly local but over the last two years other options have been added from other regions. The salon has air-conditioning, which is great at this time of year. The service is excellent - friendly and very efficient. It is a great place for a mixed group of veggies, pescatarians and meat eaters to enjoy together and that is important.

Fun and sometimes raucous (be prepared to sing). Great aperos with foie gras, followed by a great deal of duck over several courses - afterwards buy more duck at the shop to take home. Long tables, so go when you're feeling friendly, especially when the meal is over and Jackie brings out the duck of eau de vie.

A quelques kilomètres de Najac ce lieu respire l'authenticité. Le chef saura vous séduire par sa cuisine raffinée. Une belle cave de 600 référence armagnacs, cognac, champagne, hors du commun.
This is arguably the best gastronomical experience in the region, according to tripadvisor, which is exactly the reason why we settled here. It is a very lively enterprise with a nice outside terrace. The building boasts a small shop where you can buy all kinds of local products, and a restaurant. There are some 10 hotel rooms available. Few of the rooms have a balcony with a dominating view. We got the top room which was fine. The wifi signal was great and required a separate code that we received at the reception (per apparatus one). We had a fine diner on the terrace, and the place is apparently popular by British as they populated the place. We got a 4 course dinner, with beef as the highlight, nice and soft. The wine list was fine with local and national wines. Service was good, it is a family business and that shows. Breakfast was OK, fresh buns and croissants.

II Cappello is a great family friendly restaurant set in the cliff stone of medieval town, Najac. There are probably better and more adventurous places to eat near by but this has pizza and that's really all my kids eat!! Friendly service and good value.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here after an exciting day's kayaking. Rather quiet atmosphere at first but soon livened up. Enjoyed foie gras followed by a superb veal tournedos with a rich morel sauce. Puddings a bit ice cream based but good nonetheless. Lovely macaroons too. Well priced wine. Bread not quite fresh enough though, Overall, good value for money for quality on offer.

Stopped here for dinner after visiting the weekly Wednesday night market in Najac, rather than eating the market street food in the town square. Pretty little terrace at the rear of the restaurant which was full that evening. Excellent value 3 course set menu (â¬19). Good Goats Cheese Salad was bettered by the Moules au Chorizo. Faux-filet , perfectly cooked and Fries followed by a home made Mousse au Chocolat hit the spot. Local Red wine , sold in 50cl bottles was a perfect accompaniment. Service was slick. There are few restaurants in the old town of Najac but this is one worth a visit.

This was the second time we have visited this restaurant. We arrived at 1215. We were a party of nine so as it was busy we made a reservation for 1315. We waited for 30 minutes for our table which in the end they gave it to some other party. When we complained they said that the other party had a reservation. This was a lie because they turned asked for table and were given one. Very rude staff who lied to cover up their inefficiencies. Go somewhere else.Madame, il y avait une table pour vous à l'intérieur je vous l'ai dit!!!!Les 2tabkes extérieures étaient réservés depuis 10h le matin. Comprenez ce que vous voulez !Merci pour votre commentaire !!!!!!!!

We had heard many good things of the restaurant here and were certainly not disappointed. The restaurant is stylish and fairly formal with starched white cloths and gleaming glassware but the staff are very friendly and unpretentious. All the dishes were beautifully presented and there were some unusual combinations. Just beware however that even for those with a good grasp of the French language some of the menu items were a little incomprehensible! The meal including beautiful canapes, an amuse bouche, three great courses and a reasonable Gaillac wine came in at under 100euros for two. Excellent value for a great meal!
