Wife researched this place before our trip, decided to go in the evening and took the metro from our Hotel In Montparnasse area (took 40 mins) but was well worth the visit. Very nice lady serving, chatty and helpful and friendly which made a difference. We enjoyed savoury and sweet crepes together with beer and cocktails.Recommend as itâs different and tasty!

Our party of 4 (including 1 child) had dinner here on a Friday evening. From around 8 pm both floors were full, mostly with locals, including a few families. The upstairs floor is cosy, with fireplace. Good decoration (traditional bistrot style), friendly atmosphere, the service was fine. The cuisine is high quality-brasserie type, which explains the prices (owner Pascal trained with some of the great chefs). We recommend the escargots, cream soup au potiron, sole meuniere and tete de veau (great!), plus creme brulee a la vanille and baba-au-rhum for desserts. Good wine recommendation(we had the Riesling). The restaurant is not far outside the peripherique and easy to access from east/central paris by taxi. Be sure to reserve in advance.Thank you for your visit. It was a pleasure to receive you.

The restaurant has a lovely setting! As well inside as outside. Because the weather allowed, we had lunch outside. Superb terrine of duck. Very nice lobster and lovely dish with bellota ham. For main course duck tournedos. Perfect! As well as the wine list. Service was good. Friendly staff. No tourists, besides us... Enjoyed the place and the lunch!

Open from 12 to 4pm , the place is quite renowned in the neighbourhood, and for good reasons. This family run NY style Little Kitchen serves perfectly cooked asian inspired dishes as well as a variety of salads and a very fine hamburger. Everything is of course home-made, including the desserts. Service is good and fast, just like we like it. Prices are just the cherry on the top : expect to spend around 15⬠maximum per head, including drinks and desserts.

Was recommended by friends and decided to try it for a quick lunch. We went for the menu for 16.50 including main dish and dessert. I chose the fish of the day who was very tasty but the rice with it was over cooked. The veg were fresh and tasty too. We had for dessert the charlotte au chocolat which was a big mistake: not nice presentation, to heavy, we expected something much more with a home made charlotte style and taste. Only 3 desserts were on the menu so was obvious for us to pick the charlotte. At lunch time you expect to be looked after very quickly which was not the case. The restaurant was quickly full. I guess after 12.45 it's necessary to book. We didn't.

Le restaurant La Bascule est heureux de vous accueillir dans un quartier jadis connu de tous les Vincennois pour sa bascule marchande et publique établie en 1902, à l'angle de la rue de Fontenay et de l'avenue de la République et qui a fonctionné pendant
We had a great meal for two at La Bascule. I am originally from Vincennes, moved abroad some time ago, and I have noticed that, although there is quite a selection of traiteurs, the city lacks good restaurants. At La Bascule, everything was great, very good food but I have to mention our waitress who was exceptionally charming and efficient. She made us feel special, was attentive and took quite some time from her very busy schedule to chat with us (about the pros and cons of living in France, if I remember correctly). Great experience there!

This review will be as frenetic as my experience at Jacky Ribaultâs LâOurs newly Michelin crowned restaurant in Vincennes, a chi chi town, located a stoneâs throw from Paris by RER. The design and space are magnificent! This is a beautiful restaurant, large, but with nooks and crannies creating intimacy. The emerald greens, oriental rugs, and gold leaf reflect an oriental richness, reminding each patron you are sitting in a special place. That is, until you look up. An incongruous, industrial roof will stare back at you, in total discord with the rest of the design. Je ne comprend pas?An army of tuxedo clad men, no women, scurry about, supposedly ensuring excellent, if not chauvinist, service. I rejected our first table, tucked away in a corner near the kitchen, and chose a spot with a bright window so we could both peer outside and see the food. A huge flower arrangement sat on our table, blocking our view and the serverâs sight line. This will prove to be a major obstacle. Discarding any thought of the offered 45 Euro three course lunch menu, we opted for the five course 75 Euro menu, and awaited the culinary performance. The Amuse Bouch was wonderful, with unique explosions of flavor. Our first course of Sea Bream, a sweet beet sauce, and the tiniest sliver of shaved pork belly was delicious as the beets complimented the fish masterfully. A side of Barley Risotto was a light, earthy partner. The next serving destroyed my wifeâs taste buds. A fishy, overly rich, broiled piece of eel with a sesame Nori, overpowered any other sensation. It was nuclear, too heavy to enjoy. That dish ended my wifeâs lunch. She barely hung in there as I ate the rest of the meal. Asleep an hour after lunch, she asked me to cancel tonightâs dinner reservation. A Japanese inspired broth followed and then a Capon. Everything was good, but not necessarily memorable. Desserts were a nice, fruit soufflé and a goat milk concoction. Portions were hearty and most of the chefâs creations tasted good, but not fantastic. The army of tuxedo clad dudes proved âwell meaning,â but were without leadership or direction. They all shared service and tables, thus ensuring no one received personal attention. They completely forgot my wifeâs wine, and I had to remind them about my vodka three times. However, they always found time to escort me to the bathroom. Thank you very much. The huge flower arrangement sitting in front of our faces didnât help the sight lines at all. Service looked a bit like the old Keystone Cops movies. âWhich way did they go!âThe bill for lunch came to 224 Euros, including one glass of wine, two vodkas, and a small bottle of Perrier. Thatâs a lot of money for just a good meal in a fabulous space.
