Had the pleasure to eat at Reve du chef lately. It's a little out of the way but well worth it. Tastefully finished small restaurant with excellent food, all local or organic, all choices catered for (vegetarian, meat lovers.....). Will be back!

a lovely little restaurant in the centre of Laverune and busy on a Monday night, when so many French restaurants are closed. The food was exceptional, imaginative, beautifully presented and delicious with ample choices on the menu and a good choice of wines. The service was swift with a cheery waitress

You don't want to miss that. The owner cooks all the meals, and it's all the best meals from all over the world. The cook created her meals from the different trips she made in Asia, Africa and the french islands. There is also good meals for vegetarians. In the same time, it's cheap, you'll eat for 12 to 20â¬.

I had their three course dinner. My first course was a courgette nest, a bit cold as it was straight from the fridge. The main course was delicious, steamed Sea Bass with French butter sauce. Good white wine.

With only , what appears to be 10 covers this restaurant is worth a visit, the owner/chef is very passionate and runs the whole show by himself. Extremely polite and friendly and really interesting dishes. Inexpensive too. Not sure we will go back as we feel we have kind of done it , but loved the concept and passion .

His is unique local genuine French restaurant mnged by a Husband and Wife team. The food was outstanding even though the choices are limited. The Frogs Legs were delicious as we're all the plates we chose, I particularly enjoyed my veal. It was a special food experience that we will highly recommend to all. You need to book to be sure of your seat. This is not a noisey tourist overcrowded loud established but a genuine French experience not to be missed.

Patrice (Frenchman- owner, chef, waiter, chief cook and bottle-washer), is an extraordinary person and his small restaurant (24 seats - be sure to reserve in advance) serves delicious French cuisine, all with a touch of Jack Daniels. The three-course Menu is a bargain - foie gras and lamb shank were outstanding -even the dessert has Jack Daniels. Patrice is quite the fun character - be prepared to relax and have fun.

Stumbled across the restaurant when walking around one evening. Really glad that we did, great food. Set menu which changes weekly, enjoyed a really great bottle of wine too. Chef came out to explain each course, with a unique way to present the dishes. The outside seating area adds to this unique experience. Enjoy cuisine and many wines local and from around the world. Drink a cocktail, a digestive. Listen to live music on Sunday early evening. Have a Brunch on Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays.
My worst dinner in France so far...The razor shells were filled with sand, served swiming in taseless oily linguine.A cote de boeuf tasting as it had been half boiled and finished pan-fried in some alien fat - or something of the sort. And the fries taste indicated that the oil hadn't been changed in a looong while...Most interestingly, in spite of apollogy, the staff's position on the first incident was to comment that this happens when working with high quality products. As if the taste of fries wasn't bitter enough...The high product quality, however, could explain ridiculously high price.Having little to do with the kitchen, the glass of red wine and location were actually nice.Never again!Sorry for the sand in the razor shell. They are 3 times washed but its fresh product... living in sand. Sometime it's not enough. For the rest I'm very sorry but our beef is a 21 days matured Aubrac and it's cook on grill. Our kitchen is very clean, we are changing our oil on a regular base... And what you call a "ridiculous high price" is a big surprise for us. All our prices are indicated on the board in front of the restaurant and on the menu... and we are making big efforts to keep them low.
