Refreshing desert of vodka and lemon sorbet is a great way to end a dinner. Friendly service with a menu written in French but servers willing to help diners figure out what they want. Great ice creams.

Went in for a coffee on a wet August market day in Moissac.A really very pleasant bar/ restaurant with a good ambiance and pleasant staff. The menu looked interesting and I will report back when I have lunched here!Very good coffee and a really nice typical French bar.The market was really good, mostly growers selling their wares.

ce n'est pas de la grande cuisine mais c'est bon, il y a du choix, c'est bon marché. le rapport qualité/ quantité / prix est excellent.

Stopped in for a drink with a view to eat. Great quiet spot on the river, and they are making an effort. Bit slow to get a glass of sparking each, and they proposed Prosecco. It was flat, but we decided to quickly drink and move on. Could we get the bill? Asked for it and an ashtray arrived shortly. Various other activities, so we stood at counter and asked again. Eventually the bill arrived for 14â¬! Probably twice what they paid for the bottle. When we said it was flat, they reduced it to 10â¬. Hopeless. Hate to think how much the menu is.

Big Bernard and his petite wife produce some fantastic food for a great price . It has the local ambience , the kitchen en plein vue and cheerful service .To us -Australians- it is NOT overpriced. the wine list is fine and the location is central. Duck aiguillettes with peach sauce .....not inspiring ??The house fig and hazelnut tarte ..... not inspiring either ?? I believe some people are unaware of what great value and quality is right under their noses in so many places similar to Lou Grill. Why do you think we fly half way around the world ?To enjoy great food at a great price with some great people like Bernard Don't forget to mention the Wallabies

Moissac is a bit off the beaten track in SW France, and Le Pigeonnier is a bit off the beaten track in Moissac (though still in centre-ville). It's also off the beaten track in terms of its food. The two chefs, who seem to take turns in the small kitchen, serve a fine balance of creative and completely unpretentious food. Recognisable ingredients are often served in an unconventional way. They don't give you a menu and try not to even tell you what you're about to eat, preferring you to taste first and then guess. And, for vegetarians who are often poorly served in France, there's a compete menu degustation devoted to them. This isn't a conventional restaurant - there's one big wooden table in the glassed-in area where diners sit convivially elbow to elbow. The windows look out onto a terrace where there's often live music of a Saturday evening. Good food, great atmosphere, charming owner/chefs and a young boho clientele. And yes, the kitchen is in the pigeonnier!

Called in here on a busy lunch time after a walk along the local canal. Despite being very busy with lunch guests, the staff soon found us a shaded area to sit and enjoy a well earned glass of chilled Affligem. The restaurant offers great views out over the river but we were more than happy sat in the shade on a very hot day. Relaxed but polite service added to the enjoyment. Overall an ideally placed restaurant with great views. Recommended.
