every first Sunday of the month you can enjoy a rich brunchbuffet at the recently renovated "Kasteel Tivoli" in the North of Mechelen (exit on E19 Mechelen Noord) The restaurant is located in a castle, surrounded by a beautiful park, including a children's farm. All you can eat from 10.30 till 15.30 for a reasonable price of ⬠45 or ⬠60 including all drinks (fruitjuice, coffee, cava, red- and white wine, softdrinks)Start with hot- and cold breakfast buffet, continuing with hot lunch buffet (fish and meat) and choice of deserts. Friendly serviceReservation is needed.Parking space might be a problem.

Luckily, we started our exploratory walk along "restaurant row" with this discreet place. It appealed with its inventive menu, which looked several levels above the usual let's-get-a-bite on the Grote Markt, Mechelen's beautiful central square under its cathedral and other historic buildings. Inside, it was all muted colors and tasteful décor. But it's the food that counts, and though its "lunch" menu (two courses) is a bit dear (28 euros), it was well worth it. My beef carpaccio was delicious, as was our wild boar with seasonal vegetables; tender, perfectly accompanied by a savory sauce. We had a beer for a start, then switched to a glass of an excellent Spanish red. Very friendly Engish (and French) speaking owner/waiter, and clean facilities. Can't go wrong here.

Ons 2de bezoek en weerom heel lekker gegeten. Nieuw was de menukaart met als bijkomende keuze verschillende suggesties. Werkelijk, dit is een duidelijke meerwaarde. Lekkere gamba's als voorgerecht, de rode poon met kruidenpuree was een aangename verassing en de suggestiewijn was top ! Na zoveel lekkers hebben we afgesloten met een coupe advocaat met slagroom. Buikje vol. Terugkomen is hier de boodschap.

The restaurant has a normal but decent entourage. It is located on the market square and has sufficient though not a large amount of seating available.Attentive service; direct, quick and understanding. Quite a good choice on the menu in terms of fish and meat (also game). Nice amuse in addition. Nice way of serving the food and everything has a good taste.This is a good restaurant for small family diners and for eating out with friends. It is not for big groups and a bit less for couples. Certainly good and tasteful food

With our company (20 private drivers of a limoservice) we had our annual diner party.Starters and maindish were very good, although the béarnaise sauce (with the well cooked filet pure) was not quiet what is should be (too thin, no flavour). Same with the sabayon desert, not as it should taste. Normally the food is very good here, maybe something went wrong in the kitchen....

We had a nice birthday dinner with family. Food is of an excellent quality, choices on the à la carte menu is suffcient. Would prefer a little bit more vegetables on the meat disches. I understand you orde a meat dish, but that can also have some more vegetables. You can find our side dishes in our menu, at the bottom of the page "Meat" and "Fish". So the locals serve Mechelen cuckoo and describe it as âfancy chickenâ. The English would call it guinea fowl and here it is superb. Served with several tasty accompaniments. My friend with the fettuccini was happy. Only the burger wasnât great, but the message is: donât come to a top restaurant and order burger. Top in Mechelen.
