The white fish was divine. Excellent food and excellent service. The two cheese selections were completely different, but both were very good. I loved the chocolate drop at the very end. In addition, our waiter was very attentive, and he appeared at just the right moments. I asked for a dry white wine and he brought back just that. We were able to sit outside due to the weather and felt fortunate because the garden is so beautiful. We would highly recommend La Griotte to all of our friends.

Propriétaires très sympas.Plat très bon (poissons légumes pomme de terre). Dessert framboises avec une très bonne crème fouettée mais pas fan du feuilleté.Vin et service agréable.A bientôt.

We really enjoyed this restaurant - great food , superbly presented . Unusual and interesting combinations of flavours . Pretty competitive pricing - we paid about 100 euros for two of us ( aperitif , 0.5 bottle of wine , 3 courses and coffee ) Pleasant decor , tables well spaced , nice buzz and extremely friendly staff .

Coming from London and staying at our french friend's in Maurepas, we wanted to try a french restaurant. What a good choice they had by taking us to this nice restaurant !!!The food was absolutely great (we went for the magret de canard) and everyone there was lovely. We had a wonderful time and would be more than happy to come back one day. Thanks a lot. D&L

I visited La Tonnelle on the recommendation of the receptionist at the hotel when I stayed at the Ibis hotel in Trappes, FranceLa Tonnelle was, at the time of my visit, a very lively and vibrant establishment with a relaxed friendly atmosphere with well trained service staff. The restaurant offers mainly chicken and steak dishes but, the small menu means they can concentrate on providing good food at a reasonable price. The added bonus of eating at La Tonnelle is that all drinks are included in the price of the meal. This means with choices of soft drinks, beers, there's also wines, so you just help yourself to your selection and refill your glass as many times as you wish or, as long as you can stand if you are drinking the alcoholic selection. There is also an extensive desert selection as is shown in the photograph. If you would like something or just wish to sample something new, just choose. Again, you can return to the desert area to refill your plate as many times as you wish. I can thoroughly recommend the chocolate cake and chocolate mousse which is the lightest and fluffiest mousse I have tasted. Finally, there is another bonus of dining at La Tonnelle. There is a 10% discount from the entire bill by indicating that you are a guest staying at the Ibis hotel. There is no added supplement for a party of six or more, no compulsory surcharge for a service charge and tips are discretionary. This is a wheelchair friendly and disabled accessible establishment, with slight ramps to enable the physically impaired easy access to the slightly different sitting and eating areas. The table layout means you are not cramped and whilst lighting is soft, it remains adequate. All in all I would recommend this for all ages and all occasions.

Charming restaurant, traditional cuisine ... a restaurant where life is good ! In this beautiful charming 17th and 18th century residence, former annex of the Château de Plaisir, the cook and his wife welcome you to their home to offer you a delicate cuis
This 17th century country house which used to be an apple cider press in the middle of pastures and fields, has been lovingly restored by an enthusiastic French couple and turned into a warm and friendly gastronomic restaurant. I came here by chance on a weekday and had the lunch special. The cream of mushroom soup with a little Parmigian cheese cracker was simply divine. The consistency was close to a mouse so it felt extremely light, but also refined in its elegance. The main course was the chicken breast "Cordon bleu" with tiny potatoes sauteed with herbs. It was a simple dish but masterfully executed and you could feel the generosity of the chef coming through. They have a big gastronomic dinner special on the weekend, which looked really interesting, so I'll be sure to try that one day.A great place to stop on your way to Chartres or any destination west of Paris.Thank you ; we are pleased that you enjoyed the Cordon Bleu du Sud-Ouest, prepared with Bayonne ham and Mancego cheese !
