Local red wine, brought immediately, was very good. The tapas came first in 20 minutes, but they were worth waiting. We especially liked the gratinated mussels and vegetable chips. And we also appreciated the fact, that the owner stopped us from ordering more, because the portions, that they serve are not the smallest.

What a relief we found this place in a suburb of Montpellier.Close to the hotel Messane near the railway station, but best to get a taxi. Fantastic welcome from a very engaging owner and all staff were first class. Rustic surroundings, but we were seated in a lovely outdoor area, with seclusion and privacy. We were a large group, and very hungry, and portions were excellent and well cooked. Very much a BBQ vibe, but excellent steaks, lamb and Fish. Wine was superb, and this was the one reasonably priced restaurant we found in the whole area. Very much a locals place, so be sure to book!

This is one of those areas that tripadvisor suckers you in because this is not really a restaurant. The sell seafood. A lot of seafood. And you can sit down and eat it. And get a glass or two of wine. But if you don't want seafood, then you have come to the wrong place. The basic dish is a seafood platter for two to share: 12 oysters, six langoustine; 6 whelks; a couple of tiny (inedible) crabs; 6 (very poor) mussels; a few cockles; some lemon and aioli sauce. But thats it. You can have other dishes, but they will be just some of the above. And it is all cold.It is a reasonable place for lunch but this is NOT A RESTAURANT.

Profitez d
I've been to this improbable (due to its location) restaurant several times, but usually for lunch. The terrasse is lovely and the food and service have always been good, at a reasonable price. Last night my husband and I sat outside for dinner and each had the 29⬠three-course menu. We were very happy with our starters, a tomato tartare with basil and a chèvre sorbet for me and gorgeous mussels in a persillade for monsieur. We both ordered the seiches à la plancha for the main course, and when we asked how they were served (in large, tender steaks), they were more than happy to have the chef slice them into strips as we prefer. The seiches and the side dishes were very good. The only disappointment for me was the profiterolles for dessert (the choux pastry was not fresh), but my date like the lemon mousse over crumble that he'd ordered. The waiter had selected a dry white wine for us, which was perfect (forgot the name, sorry).

I visited while on a business trip. The food was excellent. I had the sea bass which was served with rice and their signature vegetables - like a ratatouille. It was excellent. I really enjoyed it. The place is not overly fancy but the food is terrific. thank you see you

The food was really exceptional. They start serving at 7pm in the evening which is good for family with small children like us. The children got the kids menu of salmon and risotto, salad and dessert (one took chocolate cake and the other one ice cream). I have to say the risotto was divine! My husband and I ordered croustillant de St Marcellin (cheese starter) & seiche and as a main seiche & risotto with scallops and Gambas. My husband being Italian, he is very fussy about his risotto. As a dessert we had chocolate fondant and creme brule. They have a good wine list and they offer you home made spreads for antipasto. The restaurant is located in the industrial area of Baillargues so not the prettiest view but the restaurant is large and again the food delicious. Menu starts from 23 euros and I believe a main + coffee is between 10-12 euros for lunch so really good value. The waitress was very nice too. We will be back soon....

Had the pleasure to eat at Reve du chef lately. It's a little out of the way but well worth it. Tastefully finished small restaurant with excellent food, all local or organic, all choices catered for (vegetarian, meat lovers.....). Will be back!
