Highly recommend! The dishes are elegant and inventive and absolutely delicious, with very fresh ingredients grown on site. The desserts are to die for. I got the salted caramel tiramisu, which was amazing, and my daughter loved the chocolate cheesecake with Mars bars in it, which I think is the best cheesecake I’ve ever tasted. The 3-course dinner is great value at 23 Euros for such fine quality (probably would be twice that in the US). The restaurant is situated in the middle of the salt flats so it has a really cool location. The building was formerly used to store salt from the flats, so there are some interesting architectural details dating to that usage. The owner has created a wonderful vegetable garden all around the property with exotic varieties of tomatoes, eggplant, etc. that is fed with compost created by scraps from the restaurant, so the whole venture is very eco-friendly. The outdoor terrace is very nice with some exotic plants. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. If we’re in the area again, we will definitely return!

Nice quick service with good local food for a reasonable price despite a lot of customers. Fresh fish was well cooked

The location is a little at the back of the Pouliguen port so you don’t necessarily see this restaurant but the spot is quiet with a nice terrace, expectedly given the name of the restaurant! But the great surprise was the quality of the food. The ‘moules à la Normande’, muscles in a creamy Camembert and Calvados sauce are simply soooo yummy while we also had a galette (savory crepe) stuffed with scallops and leeks, also absolutely delicious. The salad as an entrée just a little better than ordinary, but a nice fresh dish for a starter in summer. An ok red wine from Loire at an unbeatable 14 euros, very affordable for a wine list in a restaurant and an ok quality. Being a crêperie, the main drink here is cider.Fine waiting staff, and very friendly owners.I place for a good dinner, and people to support as they seem to be doing a very good job, from our experience there at least.Enjoy

Excellent food. One of the finest restaurants I’ve visited. Fish and seafood outstanding. Very tasty. The service is very friendly and the Proprietor has excellent choices for you. I’ve been their twice within a few days and will definitely go again.

We are staying in La Baule and were riding bikes to Le Pouligen at lunchtime. On TripAdvisor recommendation we went to Barapom, which is very understated. It has a simple menu but is thoroughly delicious, we had both galettes and crepes and enjoyed everything. Definitely worth a visit!

The fantastic location was the driving force behind eating here, my daughter insisted we have one beachfront meal! I was pleasantly surprised at the good staff and quality food as the whole set up looked a bit formulaic. I had the biggest burger I ever seen in my life!!

Cuisine soignée et maison, poissons frais des criées environnantes, Vins sans pesticides de vignerons indépendants, service singulier , La P'tite Franquette vous accueille toute l'année avec joie ! Les réservations sont recommandées.
Staying in La Pouliguen I walked past this restaurant every morning enroute to the boulangerie to buy the morning croissants and kept stopping to look at the blackboard outside for the menu of the day !! Checked Tripadvisor and Voila !!It is a fabulous bistro run by the ever present hardworking proprietor who looked after us with style. We managed to translate the menu between his excellent english and my stumbling french. A great menu with fresh vegetables and locally sourced produce plus organic wines of which he is rightly proud. We went for the 23 euro three course menu and could hardly believe the wonderful meal we ate at this price and don't get me started on the chocolate fondant dessert. Highly recommended.

I went there tonight with my husband and my 2 years old son, we tried their set menu which had buffet starter and fish main course and buffet dessert ,it was so nice, starter buffet was so different fro. What you get In the UK, the waiter was so nice and polite and the table were having a nice burger which I'm planning to try next time I go there :)), however my husband had the dish of the day which was a bit disappointing as it was very dry and very small portion, all in all I enjoyed my night.
