La Renaisssance is relatively uncrowded and comfortable with a great steak. The beer is good and the ambience is also good. The service is excellent and I would eat here again with no hesitation.

the atmosphere in the square is lovely and the bar/resto is very relaxed, perhaps a little too relaxed- the service is painfully slow but then again it's the french countryside, the prices are reasonable and the food looked and smelt worthwhile. I'll probably visit again when the sun returns.

We stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon on our way back from visiting some small towns in the area. It looked very charming and inviting from the outside. The menu looked pleasing so we sat down for lunch in one their two outside eating places. Great afternoon - great food - great service - reasonable prices. What more can you ask?!

We really like to have lunch at Le Petit Café on Saturdays. Always lively, very good food (hamburgers, entrecôte, salades, quiches, etc). Staff is very friendly and prices are also really ok. We have eaten there many times and will go back again.

had lunch there on a Saturday. Place literally packed with people. They specialize in local stuff such as Tartiflette, Croziflette etc. We took the set, three course menu at 21 EURO and were very happy overall: salad as a starter, the Tartiflette as a main course (be sure to come hungry prior to arrival...) and , to top it off, a large slice of "tarte au chocolat" with cream. Good to have your stomach filled for several hours...Our toddler took a children menu at 7 EURO which came with a nice dessert as well. The waiter went out of his way in terms of friendliness to our child. In all, a place I am happy to recommend for a non-pretentious meal based on local dishes.

We were invited to play Bluegrass music at Notre Rest during the La Roiche Bluegrass Festival. When we finished playing we were invited to have a specially prepared meal of pork ribs, and talk about special!!! Notre Resto outdid all other attempts at making BBQ ribs by anyone I have tried so far including chefs in KC, Chicage and anywhere else that professes to make a nice plate of ribs. The serci and hospitality were A1+ and we will definately be back.

I was there just because our traditional restaurant in La Roche was full on that day (a Thursday), and I had a very pleasant surprise. Small restaurant but very nicely decorated. Extremely kind staff, and excellent food.I had the "Saucisse de Morteau" (sausage from the Franche-Comte region in east France), which was just excellent, combined with a great red wine.Definitely will go back next time !

This is a small restaurant in La Roche, consisting of several tables both inside and outside. Dining outside on a warm night was truly a pleasant experience. The menu was somewhat limited but I found the selections to be creatively original. The food did not disappoint, either. Truly flavorful. This is a great little restaurant in a small town with lots of potential.

Good value menu du jour at lunchtime - 12.50 euros plat and 14.50 entrée & plat. Limited choice à la carte at lunch with wider choice in the evenings. We had an excellent filet de fera (local freshwater fish) and a good salade campagnarde. Friendly professional service with good wine by the glass. Very popular and fills up quickly at lunchtime so worth reserving a table.
