We lunched here as it was the only place we could find open on our trip around the area in early October, we were not disappointed. The setting was perfect looking out over the glaciers.The restaurants was quite busy, the service was good, and pictures of the food were provided for non french speaking individuals. We choose the "menu of the day" and it was more than satisfactory and reasonably priced. Wine was also well priced, sitting sipping wine overlooking the glaciers we found it difficult to leave on a beautiful sunny afternoon.

Fantastic family run gite and restaurant. Both winter and summer. In the winter we love to go cross country skiing on the trails there, or walking the dog, followed by a hearty lunch either on the sun trap of a rear terrace which has stunning views, or if it is cold inside by the huge stove. Very welcoming hosts. A quiet relaxing spot - easy few minutes drive to La Grave and the breathtaking Col du Lauteret. Great freshly prepared food.

Dans la salle rénovée de ce restaurant on peut déguster quelques spécialités locales à un tarif correct. (Entrée plat dessert à 30â¬) .Précisons que le chef utilise au maximum les produits locaux.Le service est sympathique. Par contre si vous nâêtes pas à lâhôtel mieux vaut réserver. Emplacement au bord de la route du Lautaret il est assez facile de sây garer.

This is the restaurant at the top of the La Grave cable car. The fare is simple but well done. Mainly pizzas, but we also enjoyed the carbonara, tartiflette and the plat du jour (filet Mignon with pasta). However the big surprises were the tarte myrtille and tarte framboise... they are delicious!

For a modest place, the food quality was very good. As a break from the montagnard diet, we enjoyed the Norwegian salads with smoked salmon. The dessert crepe filled with housemade chocolate was delicious and very generous in size. Service was very friendly.

We stayed (at another hotel) for eight nights so tried most of the restaurants in La Grave. I'm sorry to say that our prix fixe evening meal in the Hotel Castillan restaurant was quite the worst: watery, tasteless potage/soup; dry, rubbery pork with an unpleasantly strong tarragon tang and mushy couscous; rather too sour (rather than fresh) fromage blanc; and rubbery crepes a l'orange with a thick cream. I believe this was the menu hotel guests would have had as part of their package, and it did feel as though the food had been prepared quite some time in advance. Sorry to be leaving a negative review, but based on our one meal there I would certainly avoid this restaurant.

We were there on a recent trip and surprised there were not more listings on Trip Advisor. Nice pub atmosphere and good food. I enjoyed the pizza and my wife thought there burger was very nice.

Great place, with a friendly atmosphere. Nice bar with good selection of beer. Great food. Large dining area inside, with tables outside too. Would love to visit again. Meal was pre-paid so not sure of cost.

Friendly little place in the Pyranees. A coach load of us visited recently a few of us went a short. Walk up the CAMINO de SANTIAGO walk which was a perfect way to get close to the magnificent mountain range, the rest went for a stroll in the village and ended with a drink in les Glaciers. The staff were very friendly and quick service considering the number of people in on the day.

This quaint traditional restaurant took me back in time to the days my grandfather would come visit and cook this kind of traditional French cuisine for us. Charming atmosphere, delicious food, wonderful service. All around one of the greatest dining experiences I've had the good fortune to enjoy!
