totally unexpected we were in Strasbourg as wel in this restaurant. But what a surprise!! Guillaume is really an exceptional chef with surprisingly good combinations of ingredients. And Jean Baptiste is a great sommelier who's choosing his wine perfectly by the dish. Although the restaurant has just opened his doors, the experience of the team was noticeable. A scrumptious lunch of ham potatoes, sauerkraut, and salad with my wife. The server was happy and friendly, spoke English and guided us to some very tasty dishes. Just a few meters off the main streets provides a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. â¬40 for lunch, no drinks

+ authentic Alsatian food+ gracious accommodating staff + delightful assortment of fresh cabbage salads as an appetizer + good selection of reasonable Alsatian wines.+ Great assortment of fresh cabbage dishes for appetizers. An oft overlooked feature of Alsatian cuisine. Donât miss it.- Choucroute was soggy and blandâperhaps this is more authentic, but it was definitely treated as a side dish, not an honored staple.- staff was stretched thin the night we were there, although the restaurant was only 2/3 full.- Decor is rather tiered and uninspired.

I have been wanting to visit Le Buerehiesel for some time now. Our lunch time visit was very good but I can't help thinking that something was missing. Perhaps the room feels a little bit dated. And the dishes, while good, were a little underwhelming. That said, the service was excellent, and the young sommelier outstanding in his passion and knowledge of his carte - top marks here. The chariot du fromage selection and strawberry souffle were both outstanding. I would like to visit again.

Had the foie gras and and the cheese plate. Both were tasteless. Seriously. I asked for some honey to give the cheese some flavor. Nice size cheese plate, but they were all tasteless. Even the blue cheese. The foie gras was similarly devoid of taste. A couple next to us sent pack their pizza and got a cheese plate. They agreed: zero flavor. We came here because the reviews were so good. Had a celebratory meal here and cannot fault it in anyway. The hotel rooms are spacious and the restaurants were full. The menu has a good variety of dishes and the waiters were charming. We have eaten here a few times over the past 3 years and our experiences have been very average. The food was ok, service was inconsistent, and the atmosphere was cold and "cafeteria- like". But lately, there has been a big improvement. The food is now quite delicious (new chef?), the service is better and the staff is friendly. The decor is also warm (the Christmas decorations were nice and festive), and you no longer feel like you are dining in a train station. With very few good restaurants in Kehl to choose from, it is nice that this restaurant has become more upscale and is an option to consider.

This was my first visit it most certainly will not be my last. The service by the owners is friendly and efficient. Every table in this small venue was full but you felt like you were the only person because of the excellent service. The decor was seasonal and beautiful. And the food, oh dear heavens, the food was absolutely delicious! Be sure to try the Mousse Cafe for dessert. Although this location takes some effort to locate; you will be greatly rewarded for your efforts.

I've visited this restaurant many times as we used to live very close to it. The food is excellent, service depends on the day (heard friends who left after not being acknowledged for half an hour on a busy night), prices are a bit high. Deserves to be tried, as the food is really amazing
