If in area this is a place worthy of a visit. Warm welcome extended although no English spoken. Menu at lunch time varied, excellent value. A unique place with a relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of parking.

We had a really lovely lunch here, and the owners were so accommodating as we were late but made us feel really welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them. It was their first anniversary and they shared a complimentary glass of fizz with us. The food was good, well cooked and a good selection. A pick and mix buffet for starters including meats, salads, I had a really good fillet of steak and frites (my husband had the prawns in a creamy sauce) for main and for dessert the profiteroles were huge and delicious. The chef was very accommodating for our needs and Mme Clement was very encouraging with our limited French. A smile goes a long way when you are learning. We will go back, and we thank Mr & Mme Clement for their welcoming hospitality ... and we are no relation but we discovered we shared the same surname! There must be some French in us :)

The food is far below what you could expect, products are not of 1st quality, preparation is just regular, service is average.... When passing by LE 108, you would think that this could be a nice experience but at the end is is not.... Unfortunately not on the short list of the reasonable places in Jonzac

On a warm sunny day in early September all the lunch diners here were using the rear courtyard rather than the inside room at the front. It is an authentic small yard and the house next door is dilapidated, but the space itself is pleasant and shady. Most of the diners said hello to everyone on arrival and goodbye on leaving -- it was a nice relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Service was good. We both had salads and they were delicious.

This is a completely unpretentious, but charming and friendly little creperie on the main road out of Jonzac towards Pons. We loved the galettes and the crepes and sampled La Marsala (galette with chicken, mushrooms and spices), La Provençale (galette with ratatouille and egg), La Normande (crepe with caramelised apples), and La Malicieuse ( crepe with almonds, Chantilly cream and apricot jam). Delightful service too.

Tucked away at the back of the rather dull looking Hotel de l'Ecu is this rather stylish restaurant. There is the usual mix'n'match set of menus but there were several attractive choices, which, when they arrived at the table, were even better than expected. The menu had English translations of the dishes which is always helpful. The service is bright and friendly and the food is well cooked and nicely presented. Local wine is served as house wine by the glass or pichet as well as by the bottle and is very drinkable and modestly priced. Well worth seeking out, it gets a mention in Gault Millau.HelloWe thank you for your comment. We hope to see you again

You know you have found the right place when the chef greets you upon arrival. The menu is varied to suit all tastes but as with all good restaurants you can stray from the menuThe food is simply excuisite. Perfectly cooked fresh and full of flavour. The chef took the trouble to come to our table after our meal to ensure the food was goodThe food was excellent and if you are ever in the beautiful Jonzac, you simply have to eat at this wonderful resturant

Stopped there for lunch while walking around Jonzac, primarily because they speak English! That however is not the reason we'd go back. The food was simply fabulous. Good simple well prepared food that was served by friendly staff. Definitely one we will go back to.
