Really lovely little restaurant, great food and lovely owner. Made us feel at home. There was a cold buffet and a fairly busy, happy atmosphere- it's a basic northern French restaurant but just the ticket for lunch on the way to the ferry. We had steak and salmon- both very good.

We tried this restaurant having seen the existing reviews, it sounded special and it was. It is small with additional space upstairs. If you need to have a table on the ground for reserve it. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The menu of the day had two starters and two main courses. It offered dishes we all were happy with and they were explained so we knew exactly what we would receive. When the food arrived the waiter added his comments which informed and confirmed our choices. The desserts and coffees completed an excellent meal. We will use this restaurant for special occasions as often as we can.

8.00pm one Saturday evening saw us a group of five in Grandcamp-Maisy Fortunately La Marée had a table for us. A very warm welcome by smiling staff into a very comfortable room with a view of the port. Suggestion by the waiter to try a local beer - delicious. Various fixed price menus available - we chose the 30 euro. I chose a wrap of lamb confit with a ratatouille and sauce vierge. Followed by beef cheeks with mushrooms, crème brûlée pommeau. All delicious and sufficient quantity- a real treat to find by accident. Consumed with 2 Bottles of a lovely red burgundy. For only 42 euros a head!Great value and will definitely return if in the area. Recommend to everyone.

After four days of breakfast, lunch and dinner which were all delicious we found La Marine. A beautiful authentic French Brasserie. Situated at the crossroads, in the middle of a sleepy street, the food was the best weâve had, the atmosphere was typically French, Julian served us, cooked for us and was truly delightful. Highly recommended.

My wife is not a fish person and I love fish - we were both able to fine a very nice dinner recommended by our B&B host Mr. Hamel (Chateau Vouilly). The food was extremely fresh and the artistic touches and little food designs added to the dishes were just amazing.

If you're looking for an authentic restaurant that caters to locals rather than tourists and servers amazing food, this is the spot. Recommended to us by our B&B hosts, Au Relais Des Amis in Osmanville serves delicious homestyle meals (choose from 4 to 5 options). Each meal includes a trip to a cold food buffet (which could suffice as a meal itself) and a choose-your-own dessert buffet. We at here both nights we stayed in Normandy, and our food was consistently top-notch. Our server (and I believe owner) spoke English to help compensate for our French. Pricing was extremely reasonable.

The restaurant is highly frequented by the locals. The service was attentive and excellent. The restaurant has a family owned feeling. The seafood in the dishes I tried were very fresh. The sauces were on the light side and let the flavors of the seafoods come through. The seafood was perfectly cooked. I enjoyed the mealthank you!It was a real pleasure to meet you and make you and make you discover our local seafod and products, which you took the time to taste and appreciate.Best regards,

The Rodney Boys stopped off in Isigny-sur-Mer and found Le Versailles in the main square. It is a quiet town and the Saturday market was winding down for the day, but plenty of locals congregating at Le Versailles for lunch. We sat outside and enjoyed some fruit and Croques Madames all around. The waitress is the spitting image of Yvette (Vicky Michel) from 'Allo 'Allo and looked even more the part in her uniform. A simple eatery with excellent service enjoyed with some beers and some local wine - nice one - we did not manage to speak to the owner, who we understand goes by the name of Rene. He had, apparently, taken the day off to go shopping with his wife, Edith! Hmmmmm....had we been had?

After crossing Portsmouth/Cherbourg just a convenient 45 minutes to Isigny. Hotel accommodation round car park adequate but very basic. Wanted to be up early and on our way south so did not take breakfast. Didn't feel inclined to eat in hotel but super restaurant very close. Oysters of Isigny - superb.

We have eaten at this brasserie for nearly 30 years, through various changes of ownership. Madame, who now owns the place with her husband, runs a first-class small team - efficient and friendly. Being August, the place was packed and Madame was very aware and concerned that we were waiting a while for our meal. Itâs august, itâs good to see them so busy to make up for the lean months. Good food, plenty of choice, delicious galettes, full range of pizzas, plus plat du jour and other fish and meat dishes. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
