We komen niet vaak maar toch jaarlijks 1 of 2 keer, maar gisteren was het echt een tegenvaller. De Ossobuco was niet lekker klaar gemaakt, de schenkel was goed maar de saus waar na het aanbraden de schenkel in moet garen was een vieze gladde gepureerde ondefinieerbare sausje.

Wij hebben genoten van een heerlijk 5-gangendiner in een buitengewoon prettige ambiance. De zaak is sfeervol ingericht en ondanks dat er linnen op tafel ligt is het gevoel toch ongedwongen. Naast de heerlijke gerechten werden we ook aangenaam verrast door de vriendelijke gastheer, die het mooie plaatje met aandacht en een vleugje humor compleet maakt.Het restaurant heeft terras en er is ruime parkeergelegenheid voor de deur. Een aanwinst voor Drunen en omgeving.Wij komen zeker terug!

We sat upstairs and by the windows which was really nice. Great atmosphere and excellent service. Hi had the French onion soup, flank steak and creme brulee plus a bowl of fresh bread. It was excellent and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great dinner.

Hier van de week wat gegeten, buiten op het terras. Beperkte menukaart, maar voldoende keuze. Ook interessante 3- en 4-gangen menuutjes voor een super prijs. Het is gen haute cuisine, maar prima bistro eten. Vriendelijke bediening en lekke rgegeten. Jammer wel dat het terras aan een vrij drukke straat zit.

Restaurant gelegen in de toren aan de jachthaven de Wiel in de vesting Heusden. Het heeft een groot terras met uitzicht over de vesting, jachthaven en over de Bergsche Maas. Je kunt hier terecht voor een kopje koffie, drankje, lunch of diner. Leuk plekje om even uit te rusten en van het uitzicht te genieten.

Although our previous visit to De Fuik during 'Restaurant Week' was disappointing, we decided to go there again and give it another try. We were not disappointed this time. Upon arrival, we were invited to have an aperitif on the terrace overlooking the river. We decided to have our starter outside as well and then move inside, which wasn't a problem at all. In addition to the set three course menu we decided to have one additional course and 'upgrade' our dessert to cheese. One of us also chose the recommended wines fitting with each course. Even though the restaurant was not packed, there were six staff around and we were very well attended to. The sommelier had great stories about the choice of wine and it was a nice surprise to get a tasting of three different dessert wines accompanying the cheese. When coffee was served, there was a vast selection of home-made sweets and treats to pick from. The food in general was very good in both taste and in presentation. We left very satisfied and received a nice gift (some home-made sweets).

We had dinner here lastSaturday and enjoyed an a-la-carte meal which was composed of just different fish dishes, both for entry and main course. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. The restaurant has recently switched to a new formula serving dishes from many different countries in the world. My partner selected mussels and cod (bacalau) in Portuguese style and I had sashimi and fried tuna steak in oriental style. The wine from the glass was very tasty and not too expensive but the wine list has a lot of choices. The restaurant has a separate room nextdoor where parties are welcome for private dining and in the Summer season there is a large terrace in front and also an inner courtyard where seating is possible.The evening was not very busy but we feel that this restaurant deserves to be visited by more guests. You will not be disappointed.

We visited this restaurant twice in our 3 days stay in Heusden. Both times were very good! Delicious Food, Nice people and a very pleasant atmosphere. The service was excellent. We were served by a young, charming gentleman . The first time i went for a dutch treat, as I dont live in Holland. The grey shrimps were delicious and the dover Sole as Well. Second time we had salmon with an oriental touch and later i had a perfect piece of cod with beurre blanc. Desserts were yummie as Well. Top !!
